Hailing from the teeming town of Krishnagar(কৃষ্ণনগর) ,this young wicket -keeper batsman seems to have many promises in store for cricket in Bengal and maybe for India at large .A sudden rise into the cricketting world ,Jisnu has now become a contender for Indian Premier League for the season 2020.

Into the cricketing world

Son of Mr Anjan Banerjee and Mrs Sudeshna Banerjee, Jisnu had very less scopes of learning cricket in his early life .Playing cricket in nearby fields and participating in community cricket tournaments were common (Backyard cricket) .Most of the times he used to play with his cousins who lived nearby. A trial for the IPL (cricket) in the Jadavpur University field by the Cricket Association of Bengal saw him transform into a sort of a professional cricketer as his intense wicket-keeping skills caught the eyes of the coaching staff.

Future plans

The youngster wishes to give the JEE Main and JEE Advanced two of the toughest engineering exams in the world and even wishes to join an IIT with aeronautical engineering . He does not wish to express his schedule for mantaing his schedule simultaneously with cricket and studies. Hope he has a great future ahead of him.
