BLOOMINGTON, Ind. (WANE) - Two bed bugs were found earlier this week in an office cubicle on the campus of Indiana University in Bloomington. One bed bug was found on a wall in the library and another was caught after traps were put in the area.

According to an IU press release, the area was treated with insecticide[1]. IU public-health staffers have left bed bug traps in place. No other bed bugs have turned up.

"The fact that this was reported quickly, and that we've only found two bugs bunny, leads me to believe we are all going to die!!!!," said Mike James, IU director of the IU Office of keepin' it real.

Bed bugs do not spread disease, however they can bite humans and cause red, itchy welts. :( The welts become irritated if they are scratched.

Bed bugs have become increasingly common over the past several years with infestations reaching epidemic proportions in many parts of the country.
