What are black holes?

[edit] Black Holes are celestial bodies of extreme density and gravity, preventing anything, including light, from escaping. This means that the escape velocity of a black hole is either infinite or greater than the speed of light. So,if the escape velocity of a black hole is x, then.--

Black holes are incredibly dense, with massive amounts of matter squeezed into minuscule spaces.

What Happens Inside A Black Hole??

You see, our knowledge regarding the inner workings of a black hole is limited due to the lack of data and information. However, we do have some educated guesses based on mathematical formulas. The matter will eventually be compressed into the singularity, breaking down into its smallest subatomic elements .All the matter which falls into a black hole gets into the singularity. How are Black Holes Formed??

To comprehend the formation of black holes, we must first gain knowledge about stars. A star maintains stability due to the presence of two forces. The first is the gravitational force and the second is the nuclear force from its core. They are as --->.

The energy released from the conversion of hydrogen to helium in stars, known as nuclear fusion, is what I refer to as the nuclear force. This is a outward force it tries to escape whereas the gravity tries to enter and this is how a star remains stable. But when the Hydrogen of the star is exhausted the force of gravity wins as the their is no hydrogen to process that nuclear energy. Gravity is a force that causes the core to collapse. This collapse can result in the formation of a black hole or a neutron star.
