Early life

Early life is spend in Najaf, iraq.

Arrival in Hyderabad

The area Shah Ali Banda is named after Shah Ali Chirag in his honor, a testament to his spiritual legacy and influence. His devout life and unwavering faith in Allah inspired both Hindus and Muslims, eventually drawing many followers. His humble, spiritual influence led to a lasting bond between the communities, with Muslims settling permanently around him.

Death & Tomb

Following his death, Syed Shah Chirag was buried at a site that would later become a place of deep significance for the Muslim community. His tomb in the Sultan Shahi locality of Hyderabad is a revered shrine. Hazrat Mir Momin, a prominent leader of the Golconda kingdom, honored the saint by establishing the famous Daira Momin cemetery around the tomb, mixing holy soil from Karbala into the land. Shah Chirag was the first to be buried there, making the site one of spiritual importance.

His Advice Before Death

Before his passing, Hazrat Shah Chirag advised one of his devotees that there should be no hurry with his funeral and burial rites, as Hazrat Ali Ibn Abi Taleb had delegated a merchant for this work. This merchant, arriving on a camel with all the necessary items, was to handle the funeral bath and burial. His followers waited as per his instructions, and before sunset, the merchant arrived and carried out the rites. After finishing the burial, the merchant left the next morning, fulfilling the saint's last request.
