Wikipedie není seznamem všech "živých osob" či fotbalistů na světě, pokrývá pouze ty, kteří už během své kariéry něco významného dokázali a splňují zdejší kritéria významnosti.

Bendhechhi Beena

Please do the same with Bendhechhi Beena as you have done with O Tota Pakhi Re. I don't think any of the articles needs to be deleted Bubaikumar (talk) 09:48, 14 October 2013 (UTC)

My edit was purely procedural, as articles about musical recordings can't be deleted under {{db-a7}} criterion. However, we have another suitable criterion for speedy deletion of articles about not notable albums - {{db-a9}}. Shreya Ghoshal seems to be a notable artist in India and I'm sure her albums receive attention of Indian media. I suggest you to add more independent sources (articles and reviews in the press) proving that her recordings are notable. If you won't do that, your articles are still in danger of deletion. --Vejvančický (talk / contribs) 10:22, 14 October 2013 (UTC)
I've done it. I've added a reference to an English newspaper in both the articles which clearly prove the notability of those albums. Bubaikumar (talk) 10:27, 14 October 2013 (UTC)
Noted, thanks ... but I'm afraid it isn't enough. The first source is not reliable - it is just a list of tracks to download. The other source (INDIA New England) is a brief mention of the album in the context of her career. It is clear that the album exists, but its mere existence is not enough to warrant a stand alone article here on Wikipedia. Could you find out more, please? --Vejvančický (talk / contribs) 10:45, 14 October 2013 (UTC)
There are many newspaper articles which gave a mention of the albums. But to prove their notability, I only have "this page"., which is the music gallery in her personal website. She has rendered thousands of Indian songs in various languages, out of which, she included only her hits and notable ones in the music gallery. If you switch to the part which provides her Bengali language songs, some songs from both the albums are included. This is what I can do. Hope it is sufficient. Bubaikumar (talk) 11:03, 14 October 2013 (UTC)
If there are "many newspaper articles which gave a mention of the album", feel free to add them to the article. Reliable and independent sources in Bengali language are acceptable as well. --Vejvančický (talk / contribs) 11:29, 14 October 2013 (UTC)

I've proposed deletion, in accordance with WP:NALBUM - which seems to fit this case perfectly. The only references provided are either primary sources, or not appropriate reliable sources (iTunes), or very much a passing mention. Same for O Tota Pakhi Re - the only reference given mentions the name of it, but says absolutely nothing about it. Of course, if you can add newspaper sources (in any language) that actually contain significant information about the specific album (such as a review of it), that'd be fine; otherwise there's not enough information to support a separate article. 88.104.26.129 (talk) 17:49, 14 October 2013 (UTC)

The content of the article O Tota Pakhi Re - as it stands now - could be easily merged to Shreya Ghoshal discography. This (+ redirect) is in my opinion better option than deletion. --Vejvančický (talk / contribs) 05:49, 15 October 2013 (UTC)

Galinha Pintadinha

Hello! I noticed that you reverted my speedy deletion nomination of Galinha Pintadinha which I nominated for unambiguous promotion. I didn't quite understand your rationale as explained in your edit summary here: "restored previous edit, the article is rather informative than promotional, the Portuguese article suggests it might be notable")

The article is comprised of a mere three sentences, the second sentence being the unambigious promotional language, "The songs are originally in Portuguese and are getting millions of downloads on YouTube." I respect your experience as a Wikipedia contributor, though I am not sure how "informative" we can find a three-sentence article, particularly with an unquantified "millions of downloads" claim, and if the article's only reference is the official website of the production. No notability is established from a reliable secondary source. This would never have cleared WP:AFC, had it been submitted through those channels. Anyway, if you can help me understand better, I would appreciate it! In the interim, I have renominated it for deletion through AfD. Regards, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 08:59, 15 October 2013 (UTC)

Hello Cyphoidbomb. I don't think that the content of this article is "unambiguous promotion" and that's why I removed the CSD tag - anyone except the page's creator can do that, as far as I know. Galinha Pintadinha - videoclip infantil animado has almost 98m of views on YouTube, which suggests it might be notable. I just thought it should be properly discussed, so no problem with the AfD nomination. No hard feelings, I'll take a look at it closer. --Vejvančický (talk / contribs) 09:15, 15 October 2013 (UTC)
I left my comments in the discussion and I notified relevant WikiProjects about it. It looks like a very popular show in Brazil, in my (briefly-informed) opinion. --Vejvančický (talk / contribs) 10:25, 15 October 2013 (UTC)
Okay, well, I'm happy to be wrong about this. I may have reacted too quickly to a severely anemic article.  :) Thank you for the explanation! Cyphoidbomb (talk) 14:54, 15 October 2013 (UTC)
No problem ... I'd like to improve the article, but I can't read Portuguese and I can't find any reliable sources in English. This is not sufficient. --Vejvančický (talk / contribs) 15:16, 15 October 2013 (UTC)

Well I guess the issue is settled now. I have nothing else to say. I said everything that needed. I was mad for a moment after found out a false indirect existed for 3 years that went unnoticed on Wikipedia, an organization I trust.97.116.186.162 (talk) 06:31, 18 October 2013 (UTC)

I too think it is incorrect and misleading and I supported your rationale in the discussion. However, this is just my opinion, let's wait what others think. The discussion is open. --Vejvančický (talk / contribs) 06:35, 18 October 2013 (UTC)

Hello, Vejvančický; I need another favour from you. When we were dealing with pre-release cover version, you may recall I mentioned a Venus Palermo. Could you restore the deleted revisions of Venus Angelic to Venus Palermo please? I asked Jac16888 but she didn't respond, and she is now notable under WP:MUSICBIO criterion #2. Thank you.--Launchballer 12:41, 23 October 2013 (UTC)Z

Hello Launchballer. Congrats on your DYK (pre-release cover version). Why does it have the {{globalize/UK|date=October 2013}} tag on the top? The article says clearly that "Pre-release cover versions are common in the UK because of the unique situation there ..."
Below is the text of the deleted article. I would say it is useless, your article is far better. --Vejvančický (talk / contribs) 13:17, 23 October 2013 (UTC)

Not completely useless - my article doesn't have an External links section. I've just copied and pasted that over. What I'm after is having the revisions moved from the old page to the other.--Launchballer 16:41, 23 October 2013 (UTC)
Just out of curiosity, why do you need the revisions? Vejvančický (talk / contribs) 09:38, 2 November 2013 (UTC)
It doesn't seem fair on Maggie.7537; it looks like I started the article, when I didn't. I always ask about the deleted content whenever I write an article at a title; it's only because she was written about at a different title that I didn't.--Launchballer 09:43, 2 November 2013 (UTC)
That's fair. I restored Maggie's edits, but their are under the redirect Venus_Angelic. --Vejvančický (talk / contribs) 09:53, 2 November 2013 (UTC)

Hi Vejvančický, The version you are editing was supposed to be deleted by Anne Delong, I am working on a longer more extensive one at Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Gordon Sherwood (2). -- Jpclos (talk) 14:40, 3 November 2013 (UTC)

Aha, I've noticed that Lebrecht wrote his obituary and New York Philharmonic premiered his symphony, so I moved it to the main space and now I'm searching for more sources. Should I delete this version? --Vejvančický (talk / contribs) 14:43, 3 November 2013 (UTC)
Now deleted, your version is better. Good luck. --Vejvančický (talk / contribs) 14:45, 3 November 2013 (UTC)
Thank you, I suppose I could have just added the stuff to the approved version ;-). Now it will take some time before it gets in I suppose. We'll see. --Jpclos (talk) 14:49, 3 November 2013 (UTC)
Surely it would make sense to have the original up while the second one is being written, so that there is something there in the interim?--Launchballer 14:52, 3 November 2013 (UTC)
If you ask me (I started both articles) it would be best to have the newer, longer one in main space. If you put the old one up, I will copy and paste the contents in there asap. Since Im new, I don't know how this is usually done, but it was my mistake to start the second one after the first stub was declined by User:Rankersbo before I could add context. --Jpclos (talk) 15:03, 3 November 2013 (UTC)
Agreed, but while the second one is being worked on don't you think it would be worth having something in mainspace? You can usually ask any admin to perform a histmerge - even I know how to do that, simply delete the old page (you would need to put {{db-g6}} on the old version) and move the new page there!--Launchballer 15:12, 3 November 2013 (UTC)
I can restore the deleted edits after Jpclos move his/her draft (it needs more citations, btw) under Gordon Sherwood, but I don't think it is necessary. His/her only edit to the initial version stated that he was an American composer + life data, that was all. --Vejvančický (talk / contribs) 15:21, 3 November 2013 (UTC)

Hi again. Just to let you know I created a stub for Jiří Hodač yesterday, and wondered if you'd be able to add anything else to the article. Thanks, C679 16:33, 13 November 2013 (UTC)

I would say that Hodač was the most hated man in the Czech Republic during the 2000/2001 TV crisis - he even "collapsed under public pressure". The situation is covered in the article about the crisis and I think there's little to add besides his role in the scandal. I fixed an error in the article. --Vejvančický (talk / contribs) 12:40, 15 November 2013 (UTC)

Hello. I have a request from you: Lately, I have been trying to improve the article about Dilek Peninsula. There is only one external link within the article (which has been added by you) and it is a link for a commercial website; it shouldn't be on Wikipedia. May I ask you to remove it? It would be very nice if you could support the improvement of the article as well. It would be very nice if you could upload some photos, if you have any. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Sari9th (talkcontribs) 22:34, 15 November 2013 (UTC)

Thanks for noticing me, I've removed that link. I added it in 2009 and I wasn't perfectly familiar with the rules at that time. I always add external information to unreferenced articles and I guess I made a mistake. I found some images related to Dilek at WP:COMMONS, see the gallery bellow. I hope it is the same place :) Thanks for your improvements to the article. --Vejvančický (talk / contribs) 06:57, 16 November 2013 (UTC)

You are right. It was a copy of the article Shan Foster. The admin who declined the CSD nomination was apparently misled by the subsequent edits to that page. I deleted the article as a {{db-hoax}}. Great work, Peter. --Vejvančický (talk / contribs) 07:20, 17 November 2013 (UTC)

Clarification

Hey there! I just wanted to touch bases on the note you placed at the RFA in regards to human decency. I have chosen not to respond to the opposition in the RFA, because the pervasive tone leads me to believe that it would fail to bear fruit. Sometimes, in situations such as these, rather than offer a defense, it is better to just remain silent. That said, I wanted to offer some clarification. When I stated a couple of years ago that "[h]uman decency is defined and governed by community standards", I was not speaking of the Wikipedia community. If I was indeed speaking as assumed, it would certainly be nonsense. I was speaking of standards of human decency as determined by the greater civic community. (See [1]) What is considered decent and acceptable in human behavior is subjective. In essence, what is determined as decent human behavior by one person may differ from the understanding of acceptable standards and actions of the next person. The generally accepted rule of thumb is as I stated, i.e., that "[h]uman decency is defined and governed by community standards". Acceptable behavior, words, actions, and deeds are determined by others within a given population or community. Rather than nonsense, this is a commonly understood aspect of sociology. In all regards, thanks for participating in the discussion. I sincerely appreciate your kind words and support. If you have questions, please feel free to drop me a line anytime. Best regards, Cindy(talk) 23:10, 12 January 2014 (UTC)

Okay, sorry for misunderstanding and thanks for your clarification. Some of the "oppose" votes are well founded, but not that one I commented on. Some of the people who "oppose" you are close collaborators, but that's not that important. I wish you all the best, I don't think you are unfit to be an admin :) --Vejvančický (talk / contribs) 11:02, 13 January 2014 (UTC)

Hello Vishnu. I corrected the first link, it doesn't mention that your film won the Crown Heights Festival in 2012. Also, I'm not sure how notable the festival is. Could you cite any reliable sources confirming the Pan-African Film Festival and Thriller Chiller 2012 best film nomination? The other links you posted here are blogs, press release agencies and user-submitted websites that briefly mention your works. They mostly cannot be considered reliable sources in Wikipedia's sense. You can submit an article about you for an independent review at our Articles for creation process, but I would say that it cannot be approved with the sources you presented here. Please, read also our Wikipedia:Autobiography and Wikipedia:Conflict of interest guidelines. Thank you. --Vejvančický (talk / contribs) 08:33, 20 January 2014 (UTC)

Thank you!

Thanks for this, as you can probably tell I copied it from the equivalent list of Slovak banks! Thanks,

No problem ... Yes I wondered why obchodná :) Do you learn Czech? Btw, I deprodded Jitka Čvančarová, see my edit summaries. The article is a mess but she is notable (although she appears mainly in tabloid media thanks to her roles in stupid TV series). I added something more serious. Please let me know if you have any objections. --Vejvančický (talk / contribs) 14:03, 7 February 2014 (UTC)
Not officially, but I get better through exposure! No problem about the Čvančarová article. There are a number of other articles with unestablished notability at this page, so if you are able to establish it for any of them, please go ahead. I eventually aim to send the other ones to PROD, although it is not a high priority for me. One more thing, I have been working on the portal, if you can see anything missing, especially at the unfinished Portal:Czech Republic/Selected anniversaries page, please let me know. Thanks, C679 16:52, 7 February 2014 (UTC)
In the existing sections/months of Portal:Czech Republic/Selected anniversaries, I would mention tragic self-immolation of Jan Palach (16 January 1969), founding of Charles University (7 April 1348), death of Jan Hus (6 July 1415) or Czechoslovak triumph at the 1976 football EURO (20 June 1976) - those are all important dates in the history of my country. I'll think more about it. --Vejvančický (talk / contribs) 17:18, 7 February 2014 (UTC)
Added two, left out the death (I've purposely excluded all births and deaths so far). Will review the others (and any more) later. Thanks, C679 18:08, 7 February 2014 (UTC)
The date of the death of Jan Hus is today one of the few public holidays in the Czech Republic, which suggests it is not an ordinary event/death. Hus was one of the most important Czechs not only in the national context, this man helped to shape modern world as we know it today any he paid with his life for that. ... I personally cannot understand the decision of a young man (Jan Palach) to sacrifice his life because of his disagreement with the political situation, but he undoubtedly became a personification and symbol of disagreement with the totalitarian regime. The 45th anniversary of his death (in 2014) was widely noted in the Czech media, which is not usual. Both the deaths are not simple "deaths" but milestones in the history of a nation. --Vejvančický (talk / contribs) 07:07, 8 February 2014 (UTC)
On 25 February 1948 (during the events known as Victorious February), president Edvard Beneš resigned and our country gradually changed into a Soviet satellite in the Central Europe. --Vejvančický (talk / contribs) 17:27, 7 February 2014 (UTC)
8 May 1945 is celebrated as the date of liberation from German occupation, completed during the Prague uprising. --Vejvančický (talk / contribs) 17:38, 7 February 2014 (UTC)

DYK for Reduta Jazz Club

The DYK project (nominate) 14:18, 10 February 2014 (UTC)

Featuring your work on Wikipedia's front page: DYKs

Thank you for your recent articles, including Inge Sylten and Heinz Drosihn, which I read with interest. When you create an extensive and well referenced article, you may want to have it featured on Wikipedia's main page in the Did You Know section. Articles included there will be read by thousands of our viewers. To do so, add your article to the list at T:TDYK. Let me know if you need help, Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| reply here 19:22, 10 February 2014 (UTC)

WikiProject assessment tags for talk pages

Thank you for your recent articles, including Inge Sylten and Heinz Drosihn, which I read with interest. When you create a new article, can you add the WikiProject assessment templates to the talk of that article? See the talk page of the article I mentioned for an example of what I mean. Usually it is very simple, you just add something like {{WikiProject Keyword}} to the article's talk, with keyword replaced by the associated WikiProject (ex. if it's a biography article, you would use WikiProject Biography; if it's a United States article, you would use WikiProject United States, and so on). You do not have to rate the article if you do not want to, others will do it eventually. Those templates are very useful, as they bring the articles to a WikiProject attention, and allow them to start tracking the articles through Wikipedia:Article alerts and other tools. This can help you too, as the WikiProject members will often defend your work from deletion and try to improve it further. Feel free to ask me any questions if you'd like more information. Thanks for letting me know, I know both the DYK and WikiProject assessment processes, sometimes I forget to add WikiProject banner. Feel free to nominate the article at DYK, I believe it meets all the criteria. I no longer nominate my own article creations at DYK. --Vejvančický (talk / contribs) 07:54, 12 February 2014 (UTC)

Re WP:AUTOPATROLLED

Thank you for noticing my contributions. I see you are Moravian, and my latest article is connected with that designation, but in Serbia :) (Though in that case it is a scholarly term to designate the medieval state of Prince Lazar located for the most part in the area of the three Morava Rivers in Serbia. Slavic toponyms.) Well, feel free to change my user rights to autopatrolled. Keep up the good work. Vladimir (talk) 18:10, 17 February 2014 (UTC)

Yes, I have noticed your Serbian Morava, the articles about the river system/region sometimes pop up on this noticeboard and I guess it's because of the keyword included here. I believe that your Morava is as beautiful and full of friendly and funny people as my beloved homeland :) Take care Vladimir. --Vejvančický (talk / contribs) 06:56, 18 February 2014 (UTC)

Unfair dispute on Category pages for deletion

Hey there, Vejvančický. You seem like a decent guy. Right now, I feel like I'm getting ganged up on, and subjected to totally irrational persecution in a category inclusion dispute that I personally consider important. Any chance you could help out by supporting me here, or at least joining the conversation as a neutral arbitrator? Here's the page where the dispute is going down. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Categories_for_discussion/Log/2014_February_20 I understand if you don't want to join, but I just thought I'd ask. Don't have many contacts among fellow Wikipedia editors, so I'm looking for an impartial voice wherever I can find one. Thanks man!ThomasMikael (talk) 19:56, 20 February 2014 (UTC)

Hello Thomas. I'll respond as a neutral arbitrator here. It isn't an "unfair dispute" or "irrational persecution" and you are not "ganged up on", it's a standard deletion discussion. I doubt that the editors have something against you personally. I think that their objections are valid. Think constructively, think about a better way how to implement your ideas. --Vejvančický (talk / contribs) 11:42, 21 February 2014 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Irena Bernášková, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page In memoriam (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Wikiversity project

Maybe You will be interested in one of cs.wikiversity projects (and for sure mainly in its subprojects): Positional numeral systems. Have a nice day! (odměna za zájem jinde). --Kusurija (talk) 11:34, 27 February 2014 (UTC)

;-) --Kusurija (talk) 17:19, 27 February 2014 (UTC)
