User:Zhaofeng Li/Userboxes/Neutral-VE

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

If you don't want to enter the To VE or not to VE argument, you can add this userbox at your userpage. Well, think about this:

  • What will a newbie do when they're presented with a long page of complex code? They will simply give up and leave. VisualEditor is like a life buoy for them.
  • What will a veteran Wikipedian do when they're presented with a long user-friendly form when trying to add a reference? They will simply become bored and leave. VisualEditor is like a set of training wheels on a bike which is just useless for a person who knows how to ride a bike.

VE has its advantages and disadvantages. Simply claiming "VE rocks" or "VE sucks" is not enough.
