Chicago (disambiguation)

[edit]

Please note that disambiguation pages like Chicago (disambiguation) have guidelines that are different from articles. From the Wikipedia:Disambiguation dos and don'ts you should:

  • Only list articles that readers might reasonably be looking for
  • Use short sentence fragment descriptions, with no punctuation at the end
  • Use exactly one navigable link ("blue link") in each entry that mentions the title being disambiguated
  • Only add a "red link" if used in existing articles, and include a "blue link" to an appropriate article
  • Do not pipe links (unless style requires it) – keep the full title of the article visible
  • Do not insert external links or references - Wikipedia is not a business directory
  • Do not add articles to acronym or initials disambiguation pages unless the person or entity is widely known by that name (in which case it should be stated in the linked article).

Thank you. Leschnei (talk) 14:19, 17 January 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Hello,

I've noticed you make a lot of requests at WP:AFC/R, but that you seem to wait until one has been filled to request the next redirect. You're welcome to create multiple requests to the various Amphibia episodes that you're looking to create without waiting for someone to accept your first request. Then I could, for example, accept the multiple different episodes all at one. I mention this because it looks like you're trying to create redirects for all of the episodes for season 3 of Amphibia right now. Hey man im josh (talk) 19:57, 4 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for letting me know! 107.134.86.17 (talk) 20:00, 4 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Since my comment on one of your requests may get lost in the shuffle when accepted, I figured I should repost this here since you appear to check your Talk page:

Since you are requesting a number of episode redirects, I thought I'd ask if you're familiar with {{Television episode redirect handler}}, which handles some of the R categorization (and several more) functions for you. -2pou (talk) 20:34, 4 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I haven't heard of this before. How does it work? 107.134.86.17 (talk) 20:38, 4 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I tried an example at Keeping Up A-fear-ances. Underneath the first line of
#REDIRECT [[List of The Owl House episodes#ep23]]
you would replace the {{Redirect category shell}} information and the Category:The Owl House (season 2) episodes information with
{{Television episode redirect handler|series_name=The Owl House|season_num=2|episode_num=4}}

Now, it should be noted that this does use a slightly different categorization scheme than what you have set up, but you might play with it to see if you would want to use it in the future. I've never tried using the |parent_series parameter until now, but it still categorizes slightly differently. Give it a look, but revert my edit if you don't think it's for you. -2pou (talk) 21:00, 4 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]
