Hello, I'm Jusdafax. I noticed that in this edit to List of Pakistani politicians by net worth, you removed content without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, the removed content has been restored. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Jusdafax 11:42, 7 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

Net worth in infoboxes

[edit]

You adding net worth of Pakistani politicians in infoboxes. I would suggest we shouldn't do that because even if the net worth is verified via RS but they are not accurate and balance information. On the other hand, I don't think we generally add net worth in the infoboxes, instead you may add it inside the article body if you like. --Saqib (talk) 11:37, 13 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Saqib I think it's okay as long as sourced. Featured and good articles also have net worth in the infobox you can see Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump articles. And we can use {{estimation}} also. I request you please don't remove it without a solid reason. Net worth is a big topic in Pakistan. So it should be included.--139.190.118.184 (talk) 15:11, 13 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
You did not get my point. The information concerning the net worths of Pakistani politicians even though verified through RS, but is not accurate and independently obtained figures, therefore we should take extra care before adding it, especially in the infoboxes. I was looking at the List of Pakistani politicians by net worth and I found some interesting figures which may risk the neutrality of articles. How in the world Abdul Ghafoor Haideri only have 11,000 US$, Siraj-ul-Haq; 23,000$, Safdar Awan; 98,000$, Syed Khurshid Ahmed Shah; 300,000$ , Fazl-ur-Rehman; 64,000$, Rehman Malik; US$ 48,000 , and Jamshed Dasti have merely US$ 25 which is hilarious. As DAWN noted in an editorial "THE asset declarations submitted by our political leadership can only be described as a joke". I've not removed the information yet that you already added, but I am very much inclined to discuss it further and perhaps we should invite @Mar4d: as well to give his two cents. As I said earlier, I would welcome the addition of net worth information in the article body and explicitly mention that the asset details was provided by the subject himself in declarations. --Saqib (talk) 16:00, 13 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Also, you need to see this news report from 2013 which says Rehman Malik have a house in UK worth Rs 339.75 million, own a BMW worth 27,000 GBP, invested $300,000 in a business, owns agricultural land worth Rs10m, a apartment worth Rs1.05m, Rs825,839 in his bank account, and has jewellry worth at Rs2.75m. However you note his net worth only at 48,000 USD. Similarly, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi has net worth around Rs2.3billion whereas you note his net worth at Rs 1.3 billion and so on. --Saqib (talk) 16:27, 13 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
You can remove/improve the poorly sourced or wrong info but no need to remove correct and sourced info. :)--47rx374rgx36 (talk) 06:44, 15 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
