Hello, Aaastriddd and welcome to Wikipedia! It appears you are participating in a class project. If you haven't done so already, we encourage you to go through our training for students. Go through our online training for students

If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}} before the question. Please also read this helpful advice for students.

Before you create an article, make sure you understand what kind of articles are accepted here. Remember: Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and while many topics are encyclopedic, some things are not.

Your instructor or professor may wish to set up a course page, and if your class doesn't already have one please tell your instructor about that. It is highly recommended that you place this text: {{Educational assignment}} on the talk page of any articles you are working on as part of your Wikipedia-related course assignment. This will let other editors know this article is a subject of an educational assignment and aid your communication with them.

We hope you like it here and encourage you to stay even after your assignment is finished! Adam9007 (talk) 01:50, 19 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Talk Page Task

[edit]
Hello, Astrid. --YYX1204 (talk) 00:41, 2 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Draft:Cobb institute of archaeology requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from http://cobb.msstate.edu/Museum/html/History.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 00:44, 8 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Please don't copy material you find elsewhere online

[edit]

Hello. I am Diannaa and I am a Wikipedia administrator. Prose you find online is almost always copyright, and cannot be copied here; it's against the copyright policy of this website to do so. All prose must be written in your own words. The Wikipedia copyright policy and its application are complex matters, and you should not edit any more until you have taken the time to read and understand our copyright policy. There's a simplified version of our copyright rules at Wikipedia:FAQ/Copyright. Further copyright issues will result in you being blocked from editing. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 15:31, 11 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

{{unblock|Hello. I am Astrid. I have violated the copyright issue because of some professional place names related to archaeology and names of related personnel. Because of these are hard to modify, I directly quoted and violated copyright. I am learning how to edit a Wikipedia course. This time is the first time I edit Wikipedia page, and I am very sorry that I have violated the copyright issue. Also, this time editing this page is one of my assignment. I promise to change those issue as soon as possible and hope to give me the opportunity to edit again. [[User:Aaastriddd|Aaastriddd]] ([[User talk:Aaastriddd#top|talk]]) 00:07, 12 May 2019 (UTC)}}

Request reason:

Hello, I am Astrid. I also realized that the name of the archaeological project, the information on the committee and the construction equipment are not well described in my own words. I have re-modified them. If you give me the opportunity to edit again. I will delete and re-edit the entire page to ensure that I will not make mistakes in copyright issues.Aaastriddd (talk) 08:52, 13 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Accept reason:

I am accepting your unblock request. Everything you add to Wikipedia needs to be written in your own words. Any further violations of the copyright policy will result in me re-blocking your account. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 11:55, 13 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks so much! I promise I will write in my own words!Aaastriddd (talk) 12:31, 13 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Aaastriddd. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Cobb institute of archaeology".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia! JMHamo (talk) 10:11, 14 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]
