Why can't I edit some particular pages?

Some pages that have been vandalized repeatedly are semi-protected, meaning that editing by new or unregistered users is prohibited through technical measures. If you have an account that is four days old and has made at least 10 edits, then you can bypass semi-protection and edit any semi-protected page. Some pages, such as highly visible templates, are fully-protected, meaning that only administrators can edit them. If this is not the case, you may have been blocked or your IP address caught up in a range block.

How do I create an article?

See how to create your first article, then use the Article Wizard to create one, and add references to the article as explained below.

How do I create citations?

Do a search on Google or your preferred search engine for the subject of the Wikipedia article that you want to create a citation for.
Find a website that supports the claim you are trying to find a citation for.
In a new tab/window, go to the citation generator, click on the 'An arbitrary website' bubble, and fill out as many fields as you can about the website you just found.
Click the 'Get reference wiki text' button.
Highlight, and then copy (Ctrl+C or Apple+C), the resulting text (it will be something like <ref> {{cite web | .... }}</ref>, copy the whole thing).
In the Wikipedia article, after the claim you found a citation for, paste (Ctrl+V or Apple+V) the text you copied.
If the article does not have a References or Notes section (or the like), add this to the bottom of the page, but above the External Links section and the categories:

Wikipedia and copyright

Hello AlphaBetaGamaDelta! Your additions to Subliminal stimuli have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.

You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. To be used on Wikipedia, all other images must be made available under a free and open copyright license that allows commercial and derivative reuse.
If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. Ethnicelebs.com as a reference

Hi AlphaBetaGamaDelta. I noticed that you used ethnicelebs.com as a reference for biographical information in Sophia Loren. Please note that the general consensus as expressed at WP:RSN is that it does not meet the reliable sourcing criteria for the inclusion of personal information in such articles. You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Veganism. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

I'm certainly willing to consider an unblock, and any admin that feels ABGD has demonstrated sufficient understanding of (a) what they did wrong and (b) how to respect copyright moving forward should feel free to accept the unblock with my assumed blessing. That said, ABGD, I don't think this unblock request cuts it. Have you read or re-read WP:COPYVIO, which you hopefully reviewed after the prior warnings? I didn't view nor review WP:COPYVIO until now, but it simply confirmed what had already been told to me. I appologize for any inconvenient. Why my unblock request does not cut it? As I wrote, I did not readd the same text, I have corrected the added text using a text with my own words. I am being blocked after the fact and after I corrected my mistake. Did you see the segment in the introduction that says "Even inserting text copied with some changes can be a copyright violation if there is substantial linguistic similarity in creative language or sentence structure; this is known as close paraphrasing, which can also raise concerns about plagiarism."? If this editor is to unblocked they probably also need to show some understanding that WP:MEDRS sources are required for WP:Biomedical information, and that edit warring to the contrary with edit summaries like "Reverted vandalism by a clear vegan who can't handle the truth" is not acceptable. - The source I used is a website of the American Government, which the above user called a "junk page". I did not know it was not considered to be reliable under Wikipedia chriteria, specially since I've found articles from it in some Wikipedia pages. Nevertheless, the fact that the source is not accepted doesn't mean that, like the user above did, it has to be obliterated from the history of the article, making it impossible both to retrieve and rewrite the text that violates the copyright or to find the title and authors of the article in order to find it elsewhere rather than in that search engine.
