Sorry

[edit]

The film was earlier titled Zakhmi but now it has been re-titled as The Act of Murder. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ajayakumaar (talkcontribs) 06:57, 29 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletions

[edit]

I have been nominating some of your unused Filmfare Award navboxes for deletion, because they are duplicates of the content in the overall (non-year-by-year) templates. Here's a list:

Hey

[edit]

Long time no see man! What's up brother? I have started expansion on Zinta, which I will be doing slowly. Now I'm thinking about "In The Media"... I think back in time we started loading these sections with so much nonsense that we have already got used to it... I think all the Johar and Malhotra shows have absolutely zero relevance to actors' biographies and just spend much-needed space. Have you ever seen some Hollywood actor's page having details about them appearing on Oprah? This is notable only on the article about the show. There are many talk shows, not only Karan Johar's. There's also Simi Garewal, there's Vir Sanghvi, there's oh well so many more... Same goes with Manish Malhotra's show and all the other silly "walk the ramp" fluff. Let me know about your views. ShahidTalk2me 19:57, 10 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Also, should donating one's winnings on a TV show be really considered "humanitarian work"? After all, every celebrity does it, and I don't think there's any other way around... ShahidTalk2me 20:10, 10 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Yeh Shammi Kapoor RIP. What a great actor!! So sad!!
I don't know, I think I will ultimately remove it from Zinta's article as it's also unrelated to "in the media". I think it's so random, but if you disagree then fine. Everyone has their opinions. ShahidTalk2me 20:18, 14 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Ra.One

[edit]

I do not understand what you mean by "too much info" in the lead section. Exactly what would you call the likes of My Name Is Khan or Avatar (2009 film)? And media hype is justifiable in encyclopedic articles. I've personally seen hundreds of them. Please clarify my queries. AnkitBhattTalk to me!!LifEnjoy 12:24, 29 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

By "too much info", I meant irrelevant info. If you compare between the two versions, you notice that most of your edits are still intact. I just removed information on Don 2 and the theatrical trailer's reception - the latter will be saved to report on the 'actual' film's reception. In addition to this, if you look at the articles you used as an example, they only include things like its filming schedule, budget, etc in the lead. As for my last point, every "big-budget" film is touted as "one of the most expected films of 2011"; some of them work whilst some of them don't. IMO, all this sounds like fangush. -- Bollywood Dreamz talk 16:47, 29 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Good work!

[edit]

I haven't watched the movie so didn't really know about the actual cast and such... Thanks a lot for improving the Bodyguard article recently. Regards, Scieberking (talk) 17:09, 4 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks and your welcome!!! :) -- Bollywood Dreamz talk 19:17, 4 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Hi BOLLYWOOD DREAMZ. Don't you think that the plot is too short for the movie. Would be great if anybody could expand it. Thanks. Scieberking (talk) 04:31, 7 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
TBH, I have been very busy lately, but I will try expanding it in the next couple of days. Regards -- Bollywood Dreamz talk 19:41, 8 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hey :) I'm not sure if U read my answer on the convo we're having on My talk page, but I wanted to ask u, is it possible to add the picture of the Russian president visiting the sets (the one featured on SRK's page) to the Ra.One page? Also wanted to ask abt the new official poster...can it be added instead of the one we have now? --Meryam90 (talk) 02:05, 15 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I still firmly believe that the way it is written in the article is sufficient enough. We cannot just leave claims unsourced. If it is unsourced, we should just not add it. As for the poster and the image of the meeting with the Russian president, I don't think that there should be a problem. (P.S. I have two minor concerns. 1) Can you please add capitals where required? 2)For sources that are being used again, please add ref names instead of adding them again). -- Bollywood Dreamz talk 02:15, 14 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Resolving article talk-page comments

[edit]

Please do not do [1] this. If you resolve a problem, you're welcome to add a comment saying you fixed it (I usually thank the contributor too!). But per WP:TPO we are instructed not to remove others' comments. DMacks (talk) 22:03, 25 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

WP:NFF

[edit]

Hi there. You mention to read WP:NFF when deleting future films from a filmography. Well, I read it. It says that a film 'should not have its own article' before photography starts. Okay, but it doesn't say you can't make a reference to the film title on another article with a proper source attached. I think you could cut some slack to other editors on this matter. BollyJeff || talk 18:47, 26 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

If we were to do it that way, an actor's filmography would be filled with films that are "supposed" to enter principal photography, but sometimes most of them don't even see the light of day. The reason I keep referencing WP:NFF is so that we only have confirmed films - this means that once an actor commences shooting for the film we can conclude that the news is true. Nowadays even reliable sources have been writing about future releases when there is no truth to it. -- Bollywood Dreamz talk 01:28, 27 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

McDonalds and F1 in Ra.One

[edit]

I'm sorry if I sound a little harcsh, but frankly, you have much too fast fingers when it comes to deleting out information. I have reliable sources which will verify my claims, and I can show them to you provided you slow down and let me do so. Next time, you better be a little more careful. AnkitBhattTalk to me!!LifEnjoy 19:06, 3 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Excuse me... is that a threat? How am I suppose to know that you have reliable sources? I only removed the information you added because you didn't provide any reliable sources. As a matter of fact, I even said that I would try looking for some and would do needful once I found them. Your edit summary said "added titbits about the promotion. Sorry, its really late so I can't elaborate the refs. I request other editors to do the needful." Please refrain from making such claims when you don't know what you are doing yourself. -- Bollywood Dreamz talk 19:12, 3 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Salman photos

[edit]

Hi Rahul. Just wanted to ask which ones do you think should be added to Salman Khan article:

1, 2 and 3

All of them are from Bollywood Hungama parties/events licensed under Creative Commons 3.0. The current one we have is a pretty dull and bad photograph. Also, do we leave the watermark intact? Thanks in advance. Scieberking (talk) 13:32, 15 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hello again. Thanks a bunch for your help, Rahul. The watermark has been removed. I've just uploaded it and added to the article. Regards, Scieberking (talk) 20:47, 15 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Oops! What do I do now? Can you please upload it on Commons as I'm not active there? Or we can just move it to Commons? Thanks. Scieberking (talk) 20:53, 15 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Cool. I've already removed it from Salman Khan article. Maybe I can ask an admin to delete the now-orphan file for me, instead of waiting for it to be deleted. Scieberking (talk) 21:07, 15 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Great! You can now upload it from here as it has already been deleted. It's a 600x900 image. Thanks. Scieberking (talk) 08:55, 16 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Rahul. Well, I can surely do that but that would seriously piss those guys off. Secondly, I got my own upload deleted under WP:CSD#G7 (which means that the original page creator/file uploader asked for the page to be deleted). Maybe an admin can ask them to delete the images and follow the proper procedure. I happen to be an employer of a part-time designer so he removes the watermark for me on photoshop. I will get these two done, too. Thanks. Scieberking (talk) 19:37, 16 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Yep, sure. I hope he agrees to do so. Scieberking (talk) 20:04, 16 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Just got the watermark removed: 1 and 2. The images on Wikipedia should be taken off soon. Scieberking (talk) 08:08, 18 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
It seems like Karthikndr has removed the entire section from his talk page. I don't have any idea why. Anyways, I've asked an admin to remove the images. Scieberking (talk) 09:46, 18 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

All done. Everything uploading without the watermarks. Seems you haven't uploaded the Salman's image yet... When would you? Scieberking (talk) 07:01, 19 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Okay buddy - you upload it with your convenience, as I'm thinking of minimizing my edits related to contemporary Indian cinema. Just can't take the hypocrisy, mediocrity and political incorrectness of it all, and I'm of the opinion that majority of today's mainstream films are annoyingly bromidic, shallow and aren't really pushing cinema as the medium that creates impact. Last Indian movie I saw (well, I didn't really) - somebody took me to watch MBKD - she made me an offer I couldn't refuse :P A really, really inauspicious attempt at a chick flick comedy (though I kinda liked the chicks ;) Thank God I took the backseat so all was good. Hi Rahul. Would you please comment here. Thanks buddy. Scieberking (talk) 10:58, 17 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Long time isn't it? What can I say about a pathetic sock who copies verbatim other articles and just keeps glorifying his long-time goddess?

I'm fine! How are you friend? New movies seen? ShahidTalk2me 08:44, 19 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Yeh seen ZNMD - it was very good. Finally got to catch NOKJ and it was also nice. Seen Ready, and it's bad. :) ShahidTalk2me 09:11, 20 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Hey buddy. Yeh definitely, the years can be dropped unless there are other Hindi or Kannda films with the same title. ShahidTalk2me 21:15, 14 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Rahul. How ya doin'? Just a reminder about the Salman image you'd to upload on Commons. Regards, Scieberking (talk) 23:35, 15 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Done. Sorry for taking so long! Once the image has been reviewed, we can add it to the article. Regards -- Bollywood Dreamz talk 23:48, 19 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. Now the infobox looks spectacular. The verification by OTRS alone is sufficient for usage, ain't it? Regards, Scieberking (talk) 08:43, 20 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Well, it is best to wait until the image is ticketed, but it was done so recently. So it is fine now! -- Bollywood Dreamz talk 20:54, 24 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Rahul. Watermarks at some dangerous areas, but I will get 'em removed and let you know. ;) Scieberking (talk) 11:27, 28 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Ra.One

[edit]

Thanks Rahul. Regarding my opinion of Ra.One, I was dazzled by its VFX and action, and it had pretty good acting from all the leads, but the story was weak. I can only say that its definitely worth a watch, but nobody should go expecting some sort of a classic from it. Have you seen the film? AnkitBhattWDF 04:31, 25 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I believe you expected a little too much from the film. I kept my expectations undere control, so perhaps that's why I was well-satisfied. Though it certainly could have been better. AnkitBhattWDF 04:48, 26 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
