Kangal dog

[edit]

Hi Bebekve,

Thank you for the work you've been doing on the Kangal dog article! I have made some slight amendments to it today as I noticed another editor had changed the photo in the info box and altered the weight/height. In an attempt to resolve this, I have changed the photo back to the one of the dog standing side on and used the info box template which gives more detail to allow the height/weight to be included there. If I have got any of the details wrong, please correct them!

I have also inserted just one 'clean up' template at the top of the article instead of them being displayed in various sections - I hope this makes the article easier to read while it's being worked on.

If you think I can help with anything at all just ask me on talk page.

Thank you I have left comments on the article talk page :) Bebekve (talk) 06:12, 29 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Bebekve,
Thanks for commenting on my talk page and on the Kangal dog talk page. I have copied comments from Cobra-BlackMamba and yourself over to the Kangal dog talk page as it would be better to have all discussions in one place - it does look as if the photos, height and weight information needs to be talked about? I'm suggesting both of you stop changing the information until agreement can be reached.
I know you have already been putting your thoughts there, which is great and you've been trying to follow the best way of doing things, so let's continue the discussions over there.

A tag has been placed on File:Tuzkoy Denizli.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. I own these images, how can speedy deletion for blatant copyright be justified?

Where is the link to contest the deletion?

It is too late to contest the deletion, since they have already been deleted. Try uploading them again, but you must provide evidence that you own the images you upload. -- Patchy1 04:32, 28 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks Patchy. I can upload the images again, but what is to prevent the images from being speed deleted? The administrator did not provide any reason other than F9. The administrator did not leave any note on my talk page or the image pages ie a URL of the supposed original source. Bebekve (talk) 04:44, 28 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Bebekve. You have new messages at RHaworth's talk page.
You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.

Discussions that ping-pong between user talk pages are virtually unreadable. You started the discussion on my talk page. So we continue it there. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 11:26, 28 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If someone has left a message on my talk page, I expect that person to watch that page. I do not normally use talkback tags except if, for some reason I have been slow (say >48 hrs) in replying to a message. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 11:34, 28 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Bebekve, it's not possible to revoke your permission to use the photo's you've uploaded. See the copyright policy, which states that "...you can never retract (...) the license for copies of materials that you place here". Greetings, Mathonius (talk) 23:58, 29 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Uploading the files are resulting in privacy breach as administrators are deleting the files with false copyright vio tags. Therfore I am preempting their work for them. The situation is not tenable.Bebekve (talk) 00:04, 30 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

These deleted fine: http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=File:Anatolian_Coban_Kopegi_fawn_black_mask.jpg&action=edit&redlink=1

File permission problem with File:Kangal male Hizar sivas.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Kangal male Hizar sivas.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. XXN, 20:40, 5 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]
