DYK nomination

[edit]

Hi Cheaa101! I've completed my review of your nomination at Did You Know of your expansion of Just-world hypothesis and I have some concerns. I hope they can be fixed soon so that it can be passed - it looks generally good to me. Oh, and, welcome to Wikipedia! Thanks for working on the article and for nominating it! Yngvadottir (talk) 17:23, 5 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for your message; I looked over the changes, made the one to the subheader myself, consolidated 2 statements, moved a link to the first occurrence of the term, then did a few more semi-random checks; the only thing I noticed is that the article on bullying could also have been used as a ref for the self-/other- distinction, which is hardly a major failing in the article :-) So I passed it, stating that it was for ALT1. That should cause whoever moves it to prep to use that version of the hook. Do continue to be very careful about echoing the wording of sources; since Wikipedia is publication, we have to scrupulously avoid copyvio. And I hope you expand (or create) and nominate another article soon, but next time please do it within 5 days of starting, even if you are still polishing it up. They sometimes follow that DYK rule strictly. Congrats, good job :-) Yngvadottir (talk) 21:50, 7 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Alyssa. I am having trouble inserting a picture from an outside website. I read the tutorial and I am still lost. It says there should be an upload file link, but i do not see this in the sandbox. thanks Olivia.

A tag has been placed on File:RoycehallAC4912.JPG requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. [edit]

A file that you uploaded or altered, File:Bad picture of Royce Hall.jpg, has been listed at Wikipedia:Files for deletion. Please see the discussion to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. Hi Alyssa,

Thank you for reviewing my article on my sandbox.

My article topic (the Mirror Test) has a Wikipedia article already and I'm not sure how to make changes in the existing article. The existing article is organized in a different way than the way I organized mine, and I don't want to be rude and just erase everything that others have worked on.

To be honest, I've done my work as part of a course that I took and I had no intention to publish it to the public. However, I'm now convinced that I would like to try publishing it. If you could give me some directions that would be helpful.

Thanks,

Arum
