David Meisel

[edit]

Some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article David Meisel may not be sufficiently well-known to merit articles of their own. The Wikipedia community welcomes newcomers, and encourages them to become Wikipedians. On Wikipedia, each user is entitled to a user page in which they can describe themselves, and this article's content may be incorporated into that page. However, to merit inclusion in the encyclopedia proper, a subject must be notable. We encourage you to write or improve articles on notable subjects. howcheng {chat} 18:54, 9 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This kid is a well-known Birmingham athlete so I'm struggling to see why the article on him has been deleted. It was a misinformed and disrespectful move on your part.

The article as written is simply about a young athlete who was good at basketball in school but now is enrolled in university, just like hundreds of thousands of other people in the world. Please read Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not, specifically, "Wikipedia is not an indiscriminate collection of information." You may also wish to read the guidelines for biography articles. If you wish to re-create the article, please do so but bear in mind that it must be verifiable from reliable sources. Regards, howcheng {chat} 19:07, 9 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to write an article about yourself, you can do so at User:ChingyFanatic. The article namespace is not for vanity articles about individual, non-notable users. Aecis Mr. Mojo risin' 19:41, 9 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
