Hello! There aren't any groups here per se, but you can add what's called a "userbox" to your page. Go to Wikipedia:Userboxes to learn more. BTW, the trout thing is a joke.  :) There are quite a few silly ones available to you if you wish. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 02:26, 6 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I take that back: You can join a number of different groups depending on your field of interest. My bad. Sorry.  :) You can get some answers by clicking on this link and leaving a question at the help desk. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 02:28, 6 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

No sweat. Glad to help! Enjoy a cybernetic cookie in the meantime. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 02:34, 6 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Rollback request

[edit]

Hi there ChobotsScreenhog, I am pleased with your eagerness for wanting to revert vandalism, but unfortunately, after a look at your contributions, you don't appear to have done much vandal-fighting, so I can't really judge how well you would use the rollback tool. However, if you have a look at Wikipedia:Vandalism, practice reverting with the undo feature for a some time, then come back to me in a few days or a week, and I'll re-evaluate you then. Best wishes. Acalamari 19:10, 7 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I would suggest that you move that into the Wikipedia namespace or your userspace. LetsdrinkTea 22:19, 7 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Userpage

[edit]

Thank you for experimenting with Wikipedia. Your test worked, and the page that you created has been or soon will be deleted. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Developing a new page

[edit]

Hello,

I want to develop a new page about my Organization. I have read about the neutrality and conflict of interest. I don't want to market my organization through this page.

It will be of great help if you could help me out with this page.

Thank you

Developing a new page

[edit]

Hey everyone,

You may be wondering why I am not answering your questions and/or helping with coding. I am currently inactive on WikiPedia, and will be back soon.

Thanks!

editing an article of which I am the subject

[edit]

An article on me was put up by someone about a year ago and I recently noticed that it bears two templates saying 1) it is similar to a resume and needs to be made more like an encyclopedia article and 2) that it is an orphan and should have more links etc. I could help with both of these and also assist with adding to its 'importance' but I dont want to do the editing myself, because I am the subject. Would you be prepared to help with this, or anyway advise on what might be done? Thanks in anticipation. I haven't done any editing except for a few minor edits and don't know too much about the Wiki process, though I'm a great fan, and user. Antlion1932 (talk) 09:00, 14 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

New Page Patrol survey

[edit]

New page patrol – Survey Invitation

Hello ChobotsScreenhog! The WMF is currently developing new tools to make new page patrolling much easier. Whether you have patrolled many pages or only a few, we now need to know about your experience. The survey takes only 6 minutes, and the information you provide will not be shared with third parties other than to assist us in analyzing the results of the survey; the WMF will not use the information to identify you.

  • If this invitation also appears on other accounts you may have, please complete the survey once only.
  • If this has been sent to you in error and you have never patrolled new pages, please ignore it.

Please click HERE to take part.
Many thanks in advance for providing this essential feedback.

You are receiving this invitation because you have patrolled new pages. For more information, please see NPP Survey

New deal for page patrollers

[edit]

Hi ChobotsScreenhog,

In order to better control the quality of new pages, keep out the spam, and welcome the genuine newbies, the current system we introduced in 2011 is being updated and improved. The documentation and tutorials have also been revised and given a facelift. Most importantly a new user group New Page Reviewer has been created.

Under the new rule, you may find that you are temporarily unable to mark new pages as reviewed. However, this is nothing to worry about - most current experienced patrollers are being accorded the the new right without the need to apply, and if you have significant previous experience of patrolling new pages, we strongly encourage you to apply for the new right as soon as possible - we need all the help we can get, and we are now providing a dynamic, supportive environment for your work.

Find out more about this exiting new user right now at New Page Reviewers and be sure to read the new tutorial before applying. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 04:29, 13 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

JavaScript RegExp problem

[edit]

I noticed you have experience in JavaScript. I'm hoping you can help me with a problem I've run into writing a userscript.

Please see my post at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject JavaScript#Nested RegExp.
