Little context in Poppin Booties

[edit]

Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Poppin Booties, by SpigotMap (talk · contribs), another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Poppin Booties is very short providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles.

To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Poppin Booties, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. --Android Mouse Bot 2 19:47, 16 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This is a hoax, isn't it? You (and 66.11.91.91 (talk · contribs)) have created a whole slew of links to this guy as some sort of joke, right? Produce a source, please. — Scientizzle 22:56, 16 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Assuming you can't produce a source, any more hoaxing & you'll earn a block. If you can produce a reliable source, I'll withdraw my statement and restore the article with a full apology. — Scientizzle 23:01, 16 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Tagging John Fitzgerald Page for deletion

Hello, Cmdrtacyo ... I recently encountered the article about John Fitzgerald Page while performing either New Page Patrol, Recent changes patrol, or Counter-Vandalism Unit activities, and in my opinion as a Wikipedia editor, it either lacks sufficient Attribution that it satisfies the notability criteria for Biographies, or it may violate the Conflict of interest guideline, or perhaps it reads like blatant Vanispmcruftisment.

The point is that I plan to tag John Fitzgerald Page (edit | talk | history | protect | delete | links | watch | logs | views) with either a {{prod}} that explains my reasons why I believe that it should be deleted, or else a {{db-bio}} tag for speedy deletion (CSD A7).

I have created this initial entry on your Talk page because you are either the original author of the article or a recent contributor to it; I will leave more detailed information regarding my specific concerns about the article on its Discussion page ... please respond either there or on this Talk page, instead of on my Talk page, in order to avoid fragmenting the conversation. —68.239.76.49 20:09, 15 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on John Fitzgerald Page, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item 11, as well as the guidelines on spam.

If you can indicate why the subject of this article is not blatant advertising, you may contest the tagging. To do this, please add {{hangon}} on the top of the article and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would help make it encyclopedic, as well as adding any citations from reliable sources to ensure that the article will be verifiable. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. P4k 01:59, 17 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
