This is the talk page for those involved in the presentation on prenatal diagnosis and preimplantation genetics.

All of these pages seem like they have a lot of potential. It'll be hard to choose just one! However I would choose the Nonstress test article to expand on because I think the Nonstress test is a very interesting topic. Also the information included in that article is very basic, and there are many sources on this topic on PubMed, so I believe there should be no problems with accessing resources (I had problems finding sources for many of the articles I went through for Assignment 2).

I agree! I had some issues finding good sources to add to my articles. I think the Nonstress test article is also relevant to our presentation topic so hopefully there will be some overlap! Ecapelle (talk) 14:23, 6 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

User:Ecapelle & User:Akhan50699, it looks like there was an effort to merge the Nonstress test article with Cardiotocography, which is a much more complete article. I think that Nonstress test should be deleted and redirected to Cardiotocography, so you may want to take a look at both articles and their talk pages and reconsider your top choice. How about trying the Percutaneous umbilical cord blood sampling article? A quick search came up with some articles that looked like they could be good. The information on this topic is definitely available. Ecapelle (talk) 17:43, 6 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Sounds good to me! PubMed seems to have a good amount of relevant articles to get info from!

Looks good to me too. Happy editing! Biolprof (talk) 16:53, 10 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

So I've added an extremely basic outline.. I'll probably add to it as I get a little more research done. However, it is in no way definite--If you want to add or delete anything from the outline, go for it!Akhan50699 (talk) 03:08, 18 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

You're great! I started doing a little bit of research too. My plan is to delve into it in more detail tomorrow. Ecapelle (talk) 04:49, 18 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, I still have a lot more research to do too!! 108.253.125.53 (talk) 05:52, 18 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, I think my paragraph is finished. I'm having a difficult time finding good scholarly articles on just this topic. Books on this are almost obsolete I believe (at least in the SLU libraries). Definitely more research will be done, but for this assignment, I feel like we are starting to delve into the information. Ecapelle (talk) 23:52, 18 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I agree! I thought I saw a book that might be useful, but its at the med school library (think we can request it though). Also, the details are a rather tough read! I've just completed my paragraph as well. It's just a general background one because I need to find clearer sources before I can write about the specific sections!Akhan50699 (talk) 04:31, 19 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Cleanup

[edit]

User:Ecapelle & User:Akhan50699, looks like a good start! If you would like to delete the information from assignment 2 on the pages that you are NOT editing, it might help cleanup your sandbox. And you can always find it again using the "view history" page if you want it. Just a suggestion. Biolprof (talk) 19:35, 16 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
