Your files for upload request

[edit]

Hello, and thank you for your request at Files for upload! Unfortunately, your request has been declined. The reason is shown on the main FFU page. The request will be archived shortly; if you cannot find it on that page, it will probably be at this month's archive. Regards, --Majora (talk) 00:45, 4 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Locus (company), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. New articles

[edit]

It is highly recommended that new editors go through the articles for creation process and create a new draft. Your article is blatantly advertising for the company. Articles need to be neutrally written. Your article is full of buzzwords and sounds like it came right out of an advertising brochure for the company. We don't want that. Material here should state the facts, period. Nothing else. If you want more help, stop by the Teahouse, Wikipedia's live help channel, or the help desk to ask someone for assistance. Majora (talk) 03:41, 4 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Just a note in case you missed it. I move the article to draft space so you can continue to work on it without fear of it being tagged again for deletion. You can now find it at Draft:Locus (company). I also placed a banner at the top that will allow you to easily submit the article for review by another experienced editor. It is highly recommend that you use this feature as it will make sure the article meets our standards prior to publication. If you want you can also continue to discuss the article on the draft talk page located here: Draft talk:Locus (company). If you have any other questions please don't hesitate to let me know. --Majora (talk) 04:14, 4 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Fred Wheeler requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person, a group of people, an individual animal, an organization (band, club, company, etc.), web content, or an organized event, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

Information icon Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We welcome and appreciate your contributions, but it appears you have written or added to an article about yourself, at Fred Wheeler. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to an existing article about yourself, please propose the changes on its talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was my page deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss it with the deleting administrator. In a similar vein, per WP:COI it's generally frowned on to write articles about your own business as you have at Draft:Locus (company) JamesG5 (talk) 06:54, 4 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not write about yourself

[edit]
⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Locus logo.svg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Cotton2 (talk) 10:26, 5 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Your draft article, Draft:Locus (company)

[edit]

Hello, FTWheeler. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Locus".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. LinguistunEinsuno 11:15, 29 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
