[edit]
The account you created has been blocked indefinitely because its username is a blatant violation of our username policy – it is obviously profane; threatens, attacks or impersonates another person; or suggests that your intention is not to contribute to the encyclopedia (see our blocking and username policies for more information). We invite everyone to contribute constructively to our encyclopedia, but users are not allowed to edit with inappropriate usernames, and trolling or other disruptive behavior is not tolerated. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first. This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

I'm not sure why I was blocked. I'm assuming it is because my username has been deemed blasphemous and therefore inappropriate. If this is the case then I feel I should have been warned before hand and made aware that my username was in violation of the rules. Since I figured this was the reasoning behind the block, I attempted to make a new account with a friendlier name. However, my IP address appears to be blocked as a result of this account being blocked. Therefore I would liked to be blocked so I can make a new account name which doesn't offend anyone. If the name was not cause of my being blocked then I cannot think of a reason as I had yet to make a single edit when I was blocked. I also read the username policy page where it said "Talk to the user Many users who create new usernames have not read this policy. If you see a username that is problematic but was not obviously created in bad faith, you should make an attempt to encourage the user to create a new account with a better username". This was not done and I would categorize this as Biting the Newbies. This block was done hastily without anyone telling me I made an error, so I request to be unblocked. If necessary I will make a new username without taking issue.

Decline reason:

Decline as moot as a rename request was accepted below. —Jeremy (v^_^v Dittobori) 23:41, 23 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Might I suggest instead posting {{unblock-un|<new name here>}} if you want to keep your edit history on this username? (As an aside, the username was blocked because of the obscenity "(god)damn" in it; see WP:Username policy.) —Jeremy (v^_^v Dittobori) 23:09, 23 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I haven't made any edits, so I'm not concerned with that. Really, I just want my IP unblocked so I can make a new account with an acceptable username. As a side note, I happened to view the talk page of the user that blocked me and it appears that he has a history of blocking people indefinitely, without much reasoning and has been reviewed by the administrators because of it.~~GoddamnMan

So this edit wasn't made by you? —Jeremy (v^_^v Dittobori) 23:16, 23 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Oh yes, that was but I didn't think that went through because I was told I was blocked after posting it, and that was just to the discussion page, not the actual page.~~GoddamnMan

It's still a good edit that would indeed be worth keeping by asking for a rename of this account. I'd be willing to unblock you to file a rename request at Wikipedia:Changing username/Simple, if only you'll post an unblock request to that effect. —Jeremy (v^_^v Dittobori) 23:26, 23 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

That sounds fair to me.GoddamnMan (talk)

Alright, then post {{unblock-un|<username you want>}} beneath this message. I'm currently actively watching this page, so I should quickly get back to you on it. —Jeremy (v^_^v Dittobori) 23:32, 23 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
