We don't speak Hebrew!

[edit]

And we can't, frankly, take your word for it. Besides, user pages (even offensive ones) can't be speedy deleted on English Wikipedia. The correct way of dealing with it is Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion. Also note that we're in the process of getting some English-speakers we know to translate the page. -- SCZenz 16:54, 12 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

As a side note, if it really says what you say it says, I'll MfD it myself. I have no interest in tolerating the use of Wikipedia for hateful diatribes. -- SCZenz 17:00, 12 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I confirm as a Hebrew speaker (and a sysop in the Hebrew Wikipedia) that it really means it. (Every Hebrew speaker, including our bureaucrat David Shay – I suppose you can believe him, will confirm it.) This text was written by a user who was very angry of another user (which is a homosexual) who has written some controversial text, which was removed. This text is against homosexual and people from the Israeli Left, and says that people from the Israeli Left should be executed as traitors, and homosexuals should be killed according to the bible. This text was removed from the user page and the user was blocked, but Haham hanuka copied it to here. This text has no place in Wikipedia. – rotemlissTalk 17:20, 12 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
This is against murderers, who also happen to be leftist or gay, as it is sepcifically written. Even if you support the deletion (as do I), I don't see how it prevents you from telling the truth... conio.htalk 15:46, 16 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Translation into English

[edit]

Here is a translation into English of this text, sorry for my English:

This user firmly opposes the operations of homosexuals Lefts "refined" who assist the murder of the Israeli civilians, residents, and people who stay in Israel, either directly or indirectly.
… [Here come two paragraphs which repeat the idea of the first paragraph.]
This user thinks that treatment of one of the mentioned categories is stated in Hok Haonshin [the Law of Penalty] of Israel (chapter 7, mark 2) [it is stated there that traitors should get either a death penalty or a life sentence], and the treatment of the other was stated a long time ago [links to Matan Torah, in the Bible, second book, in the mountation – I have no idea how to say it in English]: [Here comes a citation from the bible, which states that if Homosexuality is done, both of the people (man and man, or woman and woman) "should be killed, their blood in the sea".
Notification: this means only to those homosexuals Lefts "refined" who do those operations, not all the homosexuals, all the Lefts or all the refined.

Thus, this text should be deleted. It was copied from a Hebrew Wikipedia angry user which was blocked. You can confirm this translation with everyone. – rotemlissTalk 17:44, 12 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

That makes sense. It is not Haham hanuka's writing style, as Hh's Hebrew is very poor. These are probably ideas he agrees with or believes he supports. In any case, it is copied almost "as is" from the Hebrew Wikipedia. gidonb 00:41, 13 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, it refers only to males engaging in anal sex, and not to any ther form of homosexual intercourse. Here's the verse (according to KJV of the Bible; it's far from being perfect, but the point is clear), Leviticus, chapter 20, verse 13:
13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.
The Bible doesn't actually forbid female homosexuality. The Maimonides, for instance, says that "it is an ugly thing", but it has relativly few references in Jewish Law. Oh, by the way - there's nothing about the sea in this verse... conio.htalk 15:46, 16 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
