Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, Hydra Flask, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Shalor and I work with the Wiki Education Foundation; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

Notes

[edit]

Hi, I have some notes:

  • I added some content to the draft - something I want to note is that while content shouldn't be in very specific detail, neither should the article omit important details such as major awards and points in their career. For example, it's important to note which or at least how many episodes Cholodenko has directed of a given television series, as the average series will have multiple directors throughout the course of its creation. Even miniseries and limited series tend to have multiple directors.
The same goes for information about their career and life. The only exception would be, of course, if there's a major claim that completely lacks sourcing - things like that can be removed.
  • This needs more in-line sourcing, as the draft is pretty slim when it comes to sourcing. I'm not sure if the omission of content from the live article is deliberate or not, but keep in mind that removing a lot of sourced content will likely end with the work getting reverted unless there's a very good rationale for this.

I hope this helps - mostly I'm just a little concerned that this draft looks like you will intend to remove a lot of content from the live article. Shalor (Wiki Ed) (talk) 17:03, 22 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Lisa Cholodenko

[edit]

Major revisions necessary. You have chosen an interesting filmmaker to work on! Before moving your work to mainspace, I recommend the following revisions:

  • Right now much of the material on the draft in your New Sandbox repeats the information that is on Cholodenko’s existing page. Clarify what your new contribution to her page will be. Make sure you don’t overwrite information that is already there. You will need to contribute 500 words of new prose.
