Keep track of your questions

Wikipedia has many places to ask questions, such as the:

Sometimes, a user will post a question and forget all about it. It is easy to forget about these unless you keep a record of the questions you posted to refer back to later. One useful method for doing this is to set aside a section of your User page or Talk page, to keep a list of links to your queries. In this list, you can place section links which lead directly to the subheadings (AKA sections) under which you posted your queries.

More uploads

[edit]

I notice you have uploaded a few more photos, with the declaration that John DeLay and Shelley Crausbay "have agreed via email to have these files uploaded on Wikipedia". There are two problems with this:

  1. This statement is not the same as the authors agree to release the photos to the public domain.
  2. The email can't just be in your email account. It has to be logged with the Wikimedia Foundation so that we have proof that they have made a release. Please have Ms Crausbay go to https://tools.wmflabs.org/relgen/ to make the license declaration.

Because of this, I have to tag the photo as lacking proof of permission. Thank you. howcheng {chat} 00:00, 7 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The copyright holder of all images, John DeLay, should have emailed Wikimedia with the license declaration that the images are given over to Wikimedia. Therefore, the images should soon be within the public domain. Ivvavik (talk) 01:04, 7 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
