Notability of Impromptu (band)

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Impromptu (band), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert notability may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is notable, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (below the existing db tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. --Auto(talk / contribs) 15:59, 31 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove speedy deletion notices, as you did with Impromptu (band). Please use the {{hangon}} template on the page instead if you disagree with the deletion. Thank you. Will (aka Wimt) 16:30, 31 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop removing speedy deletion notices from articles that you have created yourself, as you did with Impromptu (band). If you continue, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Will (aka Wimt) 16:34, 31 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Come on now - we've been here before. Please stop recreating Impromptu (band) as it's been deleted twice before. As I stated just over a week ago, articles must satisfy notability criteria and WP:BAND. Will (aka Wimt) 00:41, 9 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Look please stop deleting speedy deletion notices. It is considered vandalism and will lead to you being blocked if you persist. If you object to my tagging, you are welcome to place {{hangon}} at the top of the page. Will (aka Wimt) 00:43, 9 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

OK here's an idea for you. If your article is deleted again, like it was last time due to your band being a bit too new for Wikipedia at the moment, how about moving the article on your band to your user page? This would be perfectly allowed so long as you make constructive edits to Wikipedia. Just a thought. Regards. Will (aka Wimt) 00:54, 9 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop. If you continue to ignore our policies by introducing inappropriate pages to Wikipedia, you will be blocked. IrishGuy talk 01:55, 12 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Unspecified source for Image:Scott_storch.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Scott_storch.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, then you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, then their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Fair use, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 16:27, 10 June 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. The Sunshine Man 16:27, 10 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Warning sign This file may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Sweeneytoddlogo.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our Criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 05:08, 3 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:B000A7X6HW.01.MZZZZZZZ.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:B000A7X6HW.01.MZZZZZZZ.jpg. You've indicated that the image meets Wikipedia's criteria for non-free content, but there is no explanation of why it meets those criteria. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. If you have any questions, please post them at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions.

Thank you for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 14:32, 21 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
