Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Anitha Shaiq has been reverted.
Your edit here to Anitha Shaiq was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IUj8HDSYBa8&feature=related)composed) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. If the external link you inserted or changed was to a media file (e.g. a sound or video file) on an external server, then note that linking to such files may be subject to Wikipedia's copyright policy, as well as other parts of our external links guideline. If the information you linked to is indeed in violation of copyright, then such information should not be linked to. Please consider using our upload facility to upload a suitable media file, or consider linking to the original.
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 11:17, 24 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Anitha Shaiq may have broken the syntax by modifying 2 "[]"s. If you have, don't worry, just edit the page again to fix it. Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Could you please help me to edit "Anitha Shaiq"?--johnsib (talk) 04:34, 26 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Jayachandran. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been automatically reverted.

  • If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Note that human editors do monitor recent changes to Wikipedia articles, and administrators have the ability to block users from editing if they repeatedly engage in vandalism.
  • ClueBot NG makes very few mistakes, but it does happen. If you believe the change you made should not have been considered as unconstructive, please read about it, report it here, remove this warning from your talk page, and then make the edit again.
  • If you need help, please see our help pages, and if you can't find what you are looking for there, please feel free to place "{{helpme}}" on your talk page and someone will drop by to help.
  • The following is the log entry regarding this warning: Jayachandran was changed by Johnsib (u) (t) ANN scored at 0.916595 on 2013-08-26T05:19:34+00:00 . Thank you. ClueBot NG (talk) 05:19, 26 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Protection

[edit]

I've unprotected now, I protected temporarily to get you to stop reverting my tags without doing anything about them. I've added a category now for Indian musicians (I'm not sure that there is one for South Indian muscians, but there may be could be one for her state. I'll say again

  • check your message at User talk:78.100.91.178, your address when you haven't logged in
  • The bot will remove YouTube however often you add it
  • Cluebot, above, will remove edits it considers unhelpful automatically too
  • If you are not sure how to fix the problems, don't just remove the tags or I'll protect again

Information icon Hello, I'm Jimfbleak. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Anitha Shaiq without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry: I restored the removed content. If you would like to experiment, you can use the sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks! Jimfbleak - talk to me? 13:47, 29 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Please don't edit war. You should not remove information from an article for no reason. Date of birth is standard biographical information. If you think it is wrong, correct it and give a reference. Removing information amounts to vandalism. Note that if you revert an edit for the third time, this will result in a block and page protection. Please discuss controversial edits. Jimfbleak - talk to me? 13:52, 29 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, thanks for message. My first thought is that we shouldn't allow people to censor articles about themselves. See WP:OWN. For example, someone with a criminal conviction might want that removed, but it won't happen. On the other hand, we do sometimes remove sensitive information. To be honest, I'm not sure whether a date of birth falls into that category. I'm going to consult other admins on this to make sure I get it right. I'll be away over the weekend, so it may be early next week before I reply, so please leave it as it is until I get back to you. Incidentally, you should note that the DoB can always be retrieved from the article history. Jimfbleak - talk to me? 05:39, 30 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I've had this message—If it is publicly available information, it will be in the Wikipedia article - whether the subject wants it or not. If there is a plausible reason for not wanting the DoB in the article, the subject should contact the Wikipedia Volunteer Response Team (see: Wikipedia:Contact us. Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 07:20, 30 August 2013 (UTC)—that explains what you need to do to have the information removed. I've semi-protected the article because an isp editor also tried to remove the dob. Jimfbleak - talk to me? 07:27, 30 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
A couple of admins have now removed all the personal information, including her date of birth, that is not supported by references that verify it. Jimfbleak - talk to me? 12:36, 30 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Please note that you cannot re-add this information unless you can verify it with reliable sources. And, even if some of that is verified, some of it still probably doesn't belong, because it's outside of the scope of an encyclopedia article. But if you know of sources, please present them on the article's talk page and we can figure out collaboratively what to include. Qwyrxian (talk) 00:35, 31 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

You don't own this article. You requested the removal of biographical information, her DoB. That can only be done because it was unsourced. No personal information should be in the biography of a living person if it can't be sourced, see the message above. If you have sources, discuss as suggested above. If not, don't add the information Jimfbleak - talk to me? 05:43, 31 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The article Nandini Sree has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable person.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
