Image without license

[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Camilo Jacob Historical Marker at Polangui, Albay.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by MifterBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. --MifterBot (TalkContribsOwner) 23:47, 16 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Copying licensed material requires attribution

[edit]

Hi. I see in a recent addition to Begonia gironellae you included material from a webpage that is available under a Creative Commons Licence. That's okay, but you have to give attribution so that our readers are made aware that you copied the prose rather than wrote it yourself. I've added the attribution for this particular instance. Please make sure that you follow this licensing requirement when copying from compatibly-licensed material in the future. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 12:53, 22 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. This is just a note to let you know that I've moved the draft that you were working on to Draft:Hoya valmayoriana, from its old location at User:Jp2593/Hoya valmayoriana. This has been done because the Draft namespace is the preferred location for Articles for Creation submissions. Please feel free to continue to work on it there. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to ask me on my talk page. Thank you. -Liancetalk/contribs 20:59, 30 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]
Hello! Voting in the 2019 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 on Monday, 2 December 2019. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2019 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:16, 19 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Category:Hoyas of the Philippines requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the category has been empty for seven days or more and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Hoya species list updated

[edit]

You may be interested to know that List of Hoya species has been created and updated. An article you created, Hoya valmayoriana will need to be moved and fixed at some time because more recent sources regard this as Hoya blashernaezii subsp. valmayoriana. reFill

[edit]

Hi, I notice you use reFill, which is a very useful tool. However, it hasn't been updated since |dead-url= was superseded by |url-status= so causes error messages to be thrown when archived urls are filled, such as here. Could I ask you to check for this when using reFill. Regards.--John B123 (talk) 11:16, 10 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited List of Nepenthes species, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Charles King. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

A tag has been placed on Category:User fbl-4 indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. If it remains empty for seven days or more, it may be deleted under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and removing the speedy deletion tag. Liz Read! Talk! 16:56, 21 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Liz,
Thanks for the notice. Unfortunately, I don't know where to place this empty category but by nature this category may become empty. And if this is deleted, can a category with the same name be created in the future? Any suggestions? Jp2593 (talk) 18:08, 21 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Btw, I have temporarily populated the Category as I have already advanced myself from learning the language from fbl-4 to fbl-N, so I think this might do. What do you think? Jp2593 (talk) 18:15, 21 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Tarsomys orientalis moved to draftspace

[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to Tarsomys orientalis. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability and Mammal species require more than just an journal article; typically we wait until they are in the ASM MDD listing, or that the IUCN has evaluated. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. UtherSRG (talk) 10:49, 29 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Done improvements on the draft. It was now moved back to Mainspace. Jp2593 (talk) 21:56, 2 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]
