This is just what I know in a short amount of time. I have a question though, how do you get those messages on your page such as: THIS USER KNOWS 42 IS THE ULTIMATE ANSWER FOR THE ULTIMATE QUESTION OF LIFE. Can tell me how to get those messages like that?Kagemaru the Ninja of the Shadows (talk) 18:11, 19 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

They are called userboxes (follow the link for more information). Best wishes/ Pax:Vobiscum (talk) 11:38, 13 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia Chatrooms

[edit]

This site should have some type of forum and/or chatroom. So that we users can talk together and make friends here and help the site.

What will be allowed in the Chatroom:

1. No profanity, vulgar, or any offensive comments 2. No spamming in the chatroom. (Max number of comments at one time: 5 comments (Must wait 2 seconds) 3. No giving away your personal info, except if you private message somebody. 4. No real world scamming. (This is what I know so far) 5. Must be logged on to the site to go into chatroom. If you get on without logging on to the site, everyone can see your Ip address. 6. Your chatroom nickname cannot say anything offensive such as B1t)h, or 4uk or anything like that. 7. You can register your nickname so no one else can use it.

Chatroom Shortcuts: /nick change your nickname !seen (Person) tells you when that person last spoke. !roll dice, Rolls a dice for fun !roll coin, Flips a coin !roll card, draws a playing card !fortune, tells your fortune !horoscope (Date and Sign), tells your horoscope for that day for that sign !last tells what last contribution was made.

These are most of what I know. go to [1] to find how to run a chatroom like their's. They'll tell ya.

Thanks for your time. My name there is Ice_Man if you see me say hi!

First off, it's called Wikipedia channel at IRC. It's not a chatroom, but it allows you to discuss Wikipedia.
Second off, it's called WP:NOTFORUM.
Third off, it's called WP:SIGN. You should read those guidelines. モーモー?talk to moo 20:39, 4 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please don't do that. I appreciate that Guitar Hero is awesome, but the information is not relevant to the topic and is little more than trivia (we have a handy-dandy guideline) on that. THE GROOVE 03:29, 7 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You are, of course, entitled to believe that the cryptic remarks in Revelations refer to a system of reckoning time that is otherwise unknown in recorded history until about 1000 AD. However, do not insert such personal beliefs in the Wikipedia article. Whether they are true or not is besides the point. –Henning Makholm (talk) 12:20, 26 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add content without citing reliable sources. The content has been removed. Before making potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. If you are familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources please take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. carl bunderson (talk) (contributions) 17:59, 26 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
