[edit]

Hi again. When you have the time, could you leave a message at Wikipedia:Featured article candidates/Melodifestivalen regarding your copyedit? It's just to clear up that you're happy with how the article looks now. Thanks. Chwech 16:46, 8 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of Sumner MEGA High School

[edit]

I have nominated Sumner MEGA High School, an article you created, for deletion. I do not feel that this article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and have explained why at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Sumner MEGA High School. Your opinions on the matter are welcome at that same discussion page; also, you are welcome to edit the article to address these concerns. Thank you for your time. Greetings from the League of Copyeditors. Your name is listed on our members page, but we are unsure how many of the people listed there are still active contributors to the League's activities. If you are still interested in participating in the work of the League, please follow the instructions at the members page to add your name to the active members list. Once you have done that, you might want to familiarise yourself with the new requests system, which has replaced the old /proofreading subpage. As the old system is now deprecated, the main efforts of the League should be to clear the substantial backlog which still exists there.
The League's services are in as high demand as ever, as evinced by the increasing backlog on our requests pages, both old and new. While FA and GA reviewers regularly praise the League's contributions to reviewed articles, we remain perennially understaffed. Fulfilling requests to polish the prose of Wikipedia's highest-profile articles is a way that editors can make a very noticeable difference to the appearance of the encyclopedia. On behalf of the League, if you do consider yourself to have left, I hope you will consider rejoining; if you consider yourself inactive, I hope you will consider returning to respond to just one request per week, or as many as you can manage. Merry Christmas and happy editing, The League of Copyeditors.

I am kinda on a wiki-break; but will probably add my name to the active list sooner or later, after I get over my mild Wikipedia disenchantment and rejuvenate my interest.--Kenneth M Burke (talk) 18:57, 28 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Template:User peace corps

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Template:User peace corps requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section T3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a deprecated or orphaned template. After seven days, if it is still unused and the speedy deletion tag has not been removed, the template will be deleted.

If the template is intended to be substituted, please feel free to remove the speedy deletion tag and please consider putting a note on the template's page indicating that it is substituted so as to avoid any future mistakes (<noinclude>{{transclusionless}}</noinclude>).

Thanks. --MZMcBride (talk) 21:41, 20 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Complex interdependence

[edit]

Hi Kenneth,

you made this edit to complex interdependence some time ago. In the meantime, someone has changed "noting" to "nothing". Unfortunately, I can make sense of neither of these, so I thought I'd ask you what you meant -- the fact that someone changed it to "nothing" would seem to imply that I'm not the only one who doesn't understand the sentence :-)

Thanks,

Joriki (talk) 16:34, 26 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

That was a really long time ago. Seems to me that it should be "noting." Looking at it today, the error seems a fairly minor one on the page. The entire page could use a lot of editing. --Kenneth M Burke (talk) 01:59, 30 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You maybe interested in the Article Rescue Squadron

[edit]
Hello, Kenneth M Burke. Based on the templates on your talk page, I would like you to consider joining the Article Rescue Squadron. Rescue Squadron members are focused on rescuing articles for deletion, that might otherwise be lost forever. I think you will find our project matches your vision of Wikipedia. Note:Keep in mind that Squadron members officially state they are not inclusionists. ~~~~

I have conducted a reassessment of the above article as part of the GA Sweeps process. You are being notified as you have made a number of contributions to the article. I have found some concerns which you can see at Talk:Lethbridge Collegiate Institute/GA1. I have placed the article on hold whilst these are fixed. Thanks. Fair use rationale for File:Central American Report.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:Central American Report.jpg. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 19:26, 18 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

File:Zscore.jpg missing description details

[edit]
Dear uploader: The media file you uploaded as File:Zscore.jpg is missing a description and/or other details on its image description page. If possible, please add this information. This will help other editors to make better use of the image, and it will be more informative for readers.

If the information is not provided, the image may eventually be proposed for deletion, a situation which is not desirable, and which can easily be avoided.

The article Post-secondary educational organizations has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

raises original research concerns (amalgamation of data), and it seems this content would be better in simple list form

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Neutralitytalk 00:30, 6 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Notification of automated file description generation

[edit]

Your upload of File:Beaumont High School.jpg or contribution to its description is noted, and thanks (even if belatedly) for your contribution. In order to help make better use of the media, an attempt has been made by an automated process to identify and add certain information to the media's description page.

This notification is placed on your talk page because a bot has identified you either as the uploader of the file, or as a contributor to its metadata. It would be appreciated if you could carefully review the information the bot added. To opt out of these notifications, please follow the instructions here. Thanks! Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
