Oh, and by the way:

Welcome

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia! It's always a pleasure to have another editor join — we can never have too many good editors.

Some useful stuff/Things to remember:

  • The five pillars of Wikipedia: Our most important principles and philosophies. Or if you're interested in specific polices, see our Policies and Guidelines page.
  • Open tasks: These are important things that aren't getting done. We need your help with them.
  • Tutorial: What you need to know about editing pages.
  • Test area: If you need to test an edit but don't want to perform the test on an article.
  • If you need help, post a question at the Help Desk, or leave me a note on my talk page.
  • Manual of Style: Suggested content standards.
  • Always Always Always try to maintain neutrality in your contributions.
  • Try not to be anonymous. Sign your comment (like I did this one), by using the tilde '~' symbol: add four tildes (~~~~) to the end of a post to leave your username and the timestamp.
  • Be bold in editing pages.
  • The Wikipedia Signpost: Wikipedia's community newspaper.
  • A happy editor is always successful. Have fun!

Cheers and good luck, Ingoolemo talk

regarding your comments on my talk page

[edit]

i had never before heard of this cafe before i saw the article here and i have no opinion on weather it is worthy of an encyclopedia article. the reason for my nomination for speedy deletion was the style in which it is written. at first i thought that it was an attempt at self promotion; but now i am guessing that you may be new to the wikipedia. if so, i applaud you for your effort and i encourage you to stay involved. if the Café Prückel is indeed worth of an article, i suggest that it be written like an encyclopedia article and not like a magazine article. the article should be written with more emphasis on the factual and less on stylish creative writing. i suggest you take a look at the list of former featured articles. Wikipedia:Featured_articles. these are examples of what is considered good writing in wikipedia. keep in mind that the goal is to write an encyclopedia article.

by the way, there is a way to sign comments you leave on talk pages WP:SIG. it is done by typing three or four tildes (like this ~~~ and ~~~~), which are automatically converted to your username or IP. regards. uri budnik 06:48, 3 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

A wiki page that might welcome the magazine-style article
