Hi Shannon! Great job on your contribution. I have listed some comments below relating to your article:

(1) I like how you contributed to several different sections (background information, evolutionary history and crop development) equally.

I really enjoyed reading your article, and I think that you did a good job making your points clear in each of the sections that you wrote.
I really like how organized your article is and I think you did a good job discussing different parts of Secale
Your article was very well written and everything that I read made sense to me

I did not see any spelling errors or any periods or commas that were missing or out of place.
All of the scientific names were written correctly.

All appeared to be from a scientific journal
Your references section looked great. The only suggestions I have are for your first reference, I believe only the first letter of the authors’ last names needs to be capitalized, and I do not think that there should be a period between J and P. Also, Secale cereal L. and Triticum aestivum L. should be italicized. For the title of your articles, only the first letter of the first word in the title needs to be capitalized. Also, I think that Poaceae should be italicized. For your third reference, Secale should be italicized. For reference 5, Secale montarium should be italicized. For all of the references, I do not think that you have to italicize the journal. Other than these minor things I did not see anything that I would change about your article. You really did a great job!
