Speedy deletion nomination of Pro Advisory Championship

[edit]

Hello Lithumagin,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Pro Advisory Championship for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly say why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

Hi. Moved it back into draft space. There are two major issues which make it not acceptable to mainspace… Notability is not one of them, she clearly passes WP:GNG. The first is the tone of the article, and this is easily fixed. After the initial mention of her full name, only refer to her as Curtis. Then get rid of all the "folksy" stuff, like "and more", "with a strong passion", etc. You also just need to report facts, not write a story. For example, the second sentence in the early childhood has to go. Instead, you need to report about what happened to her father, then find a source to explain how he was released when she was 12, and how that experience, if it did, led her to blog (I think it's in the Post piece). The second might be more difficult for you, since you know her, but it clearly has a promotional tone. Get rid of terms like "expert", "captivating", etc., as well as statements like "alongside noteworthy bloggers like Tavi Gevinson and Chiara Ferragni", which add nothing to the knowledge of the readers, and are simply there to enhance her reputation. Clearly, this young lady is accomplished, and notable, and there is an article here, but you have to simply state facts, and not ones which are couched in phrases solely to promote her, but rather simply state how something came about, why it came about (if you can source it), and the results. If you need help on the article, don't hesitate to reach out. Onel5969 TT me 20:12, 8 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you so much User:Onel5969. Your suggestions are quite insightful. I really appreciate your guidance. I've worked on the draft again applying your instructions. Could you have a look at the draft and see if I got it neutralized this time? If Ok, could you help me push it back to Main-space? Many thanks againLithumagin (talk) 10:51, 9 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
