Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove Articles for deletion notices from articles, or remove other people's comments in Articles for deletion debates, as you did with Dr Abhay Kumar Pati. Otherwise, it may be difficult to create consensus. If you oppose the deletion of an article, please comment at the respective page instead. Thank you. Reliable sources

[edit]

I have checked the links provided, but they are not independent links. Kindly go through the manual Reliable sources to understand what constitutes reliable sources. Reliable sources includes Newspapers, Journals, Books, etc. Providing references to self-published or linked articles are not allowed. If you need any other help, reply in my talk page. Amartyabag TALK2ME 09:34, 13 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I have checked the sources, Wikipedia cannot be used for referencing to another Wikipedia article. India-West seems to be a reliable source, but checking the content, it seems more like a press-kit info or self-published material/advertisement. Finding independent sources in widely circulating, regional/national newspapers may be added if any, if possible multiple ones. Amartyabag TALK2ME 17:39, 13 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The article Dr Abhay Kumar Pati has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Dr Abhay Kumar Pati, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Amartyabag TALK2ME 11:42, 20 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Page Deletion

[edit]

Dear Mahabirsahoo23, please try to understand, Wikipedia is a community driven project. Certain articles often do not meet the threshold of WP:NOTABILITY. It was deleted not my me, but after a common consensus by other editors. In your case, though some sources were given, they seemed to be inadequate. e-orissa is not considered to be a reliable source, and the article in India-West seems to be a self-published/promotional source. If, you consider that your article should not have been deleted, you can ask for deletion review. However, my suggestion would be to use sources about the subject of the article which appeared on any leading newspaper like Times of India, The Telegraph, The Statesman, Hindu, etc, even leading Oriya newspapers like Sambad, Pragatibadi, Samaja, etc can be used. If there is no such sources, I would request you not to create the article repeatedly. Amartyabag TALK2ME 16:57, 20 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
