Hey if you could let me know where you uploaded your drafts so that I can do the peer review. Trb9 (talk) 02:14, 9 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

This is Tyler Boyack from the class doing a peer review. In reading through your "Non-genomic pathways" section, I had a couple of thoughts. First, I really enjoyed the last paragraph, where you mention in detail the 4 different GPCR-linked proteins that are known to bind to steroid hormones. I found that to be very helpful. I would recommend linking more text to specific pages. I didn't understand a lot of what was mentioned, because I don't have a significant background in this field, but having more links would be helpful so I could do background reading. Some things I felt could have been linked:
-Class A GPCRs
-plasma membrane
-ion channels
-transporters
-G-protein coupled receptors
-amino acid concensus sequence
-GPR30
-estrogen
-mPR
-progesterone
-GPCR6A
-androgens
-thyroid hormone
-TAAR
In the third paragraph, you wrote "GPRC6A", but should it be "GPCR6A"? And you have "Thyroid hormone" in a position that it probably should not be in the third paragraph. Overall, it is a great couple paragraphs that you put in. I learned a lot, and it made a lot of sense. Great job! Trb9 (talk) 21:41, 26 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Nice job!! Only a few things I noticed:
"In order for steroid hormones to cross the [[lipid bilayer]" --> one extra [
"These hormones, which are all derived from cholesterol, have hydrophilic functional groups at either end, and a hydrophobic carbon backbone." --> i don't you need a , after "end".
"What may be more interesting, is that the hormones do in fact leave the membrane once they have entered it." --> maybe take out "what may be more interesting" since it can sound subjective.
"All of these different pathways can be classified as having either a genomic effect, or a non-genomic effect." --> I don't think you need , after "effect"
I agree with Tyler about linking more text to pages. Link "Gibb's free energy".
