September 2019: Signing your posts on discussion pages

[edit]

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment, or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you.--Quisqualis (talk) 00:04, 8 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

September 2019: Welcome to Wikipedia

[edit]

Hello, MissBlanketBurrito, and Welcome to Wikipedia!

Thank you for your contributions to this free encyclopedia. If you decide that you need help, check out Getting Help below, ask at the help desk, or place {{Help me}} on your talk page and ask your question there. Please remember to sign your name on talk pages by clicking or by typing four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your username and the date. Also, please do your best to always fill in the edit summary field. Below are some useful links to facilitate your involvement. Happy editing! Quisqualis (talk) 01:03, 8 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

What goes where

[edit]

Your User page is optionally a place for a bit about your intentions as an editor. Your Talk page is for other editors to send you info and you to reply. Your Sandbox is one place you can work on creating an article, or just parking information you may need later. David notMD (talk) 03:03, 8 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]
