Voodoosi

[edit]

Hi Musoniki, and welcome. With regards to the debate at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Voodoosi about the voodoosi article, could you explain how the practice voodoosi is different from trokosi and provide a reference (ideally an online one) for using the word "voodoosi" for this practice? Thanks, and once again, welcome. --Saforrest 01:58, 10 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Nice one!

[edit]

Hi there - nice start to African Traditional Religion! I've got some stuff to add here as well, from User:Zyxoas (who posts by mobile phone to my talk page), so I hope it won't clash. Btw, I know sources can be hard to pin down on some subjects, but if you used any good reference books/websites, etc, it would be wonderful if you could add their names to the article. Happy Wiki-ing! JackyR 12:42, 11 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

PS If Africa is a continuing area of interest for you, you might find the Wikipedia:Africa-related regional notice board useful.

How to sign

Orphaned non-free media (Image:.Web thumbnail ECM new logo w motto.jpg)

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:.Web thumbnail ECM new logo w motto.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 06:54, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You need to provide both a source (website) and "permission" for the use of these pictures. Permission is granted via the source (not by you) through the WP:OTRS system. Skier Dude (talk) 02:56, 26 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm McSly. Wikipedia is written by people who have a wide diversity of opinions, but we try hard to make sure articles have a neutral point of view. Your recent edit to Creation science seemed less than neutral to me, so I removed it for now. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. McSly (talk) 00:35, 8 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop edit warring

[edit]
Stop icon

Your recent editing history at Creation science shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you get reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. I've responded to your question on my own page; not sure if you saw it. (It seems better to keep dialogue together.) Bishonen | talk 07:10, 9 April 2015 (UTC).[reply]
