Backstreet Boys Discography

[edit]

I'm reverting all of your edits regarding Backstreet Boys sales counts, and have stated my rationale in the talk page. Original research of hearsay and speculation could not be accepted, and those sales counts are widely accepted and provided by official organizations. If you still believe otherwise, state your problems and cite your sources on the talk page. Aran|heru|nar 05:39, 24 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ooh yeaah. Like I care. Rant on, I don't give a shit what you think. Herunar (talk) 14:48, 4 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Personally, I do care. Have you been taking your medication? Herunar (talk) 14:51, 4 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Notability of Chris Willis

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Chris Willis requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. MBisanz talk 21:07, 9 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Mando discography

[edit]

Hello. I am a longtime contributor to the Greek music pages (and music-related articles in general) and I was just wondering where you were able to obtain chart information for Mando, since she has been around since the 80s and IFPI Greece does not issue an archive. Although your info is not sourced, it seems difficult for me to believe that you made such specific #s up and I'd like to know so some other discography/album pages can be enhanced/checked too.GreekStar12 (talk) 12:07, 10 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Well I can't say anything is wrong for sure b/c I am not an expert on this artist's discography, and since the numbers are so specific that seems to give them a little more validity, but in general, wiki guidelines require sources for these kind of things, otherwise it is considered to be original research which isn't permitted. Anyway, I know it's an ongoing process, so I won't touch it, but just to give you a head's up you may run into trouble with another editor. GreekStar12 (talk) 19:42, 18 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
