Polymer Modified Concrete moved to draftspace

[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to Polymer Modified Concrete. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it should be merged into Polymer concrete, there is no reason to have it as a separate article. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Ldm1954 (talk) 07:18, 27 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Polymer Cement Concrete moved to draftspace

[edit]

Thanks for your contributions to Polymer Cement Concrete. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it is a duplicate of an existing article. Please merge to the established old one, don't create new articles. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.

Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Ldm1954 (talk) 07:20, 27 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Don't create articles with similar names

[edit]

Please do not create multiple articles with similar names. There is one established article, Polymer concrete and you should only add to that. For instance, add on the talk page that you want to expand to other cases, wait a week for feedback then add if there are no objections. Minor name modifications should use a redirect, not a new article. Ldm1954 (talk) 07:25, 27 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I have been writing a proposal about polymer modified concrete and polymer cement concrete and when searching Wikipedia very little information was available.
After weeks of work I had remaining writings that I did not use for my work and wanted to share them with the world.
Could you clarify if I should store these two pages under "Polymer concrete" ?
It feels like it would be way too big an article, though I've seen some large articles from time to time I know it's not the norm and I don't like them myself.
Can I publish my research in any way?
Thanks for the feedback!

You DEFINITELY cannot publish work on Wikipedia, please read WP:! for what cannot be done. Publishing is scientific journals.
The two pages should be one, and must be encyclopedic. Ldm1954 (talk) 18:17, 3 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
It's been a while but this work stems from research and I believe I've cited sources to everything contained in these articles.
I will terminate with this because I don't think we're going anywhere here but you have given me zero tangible explanation why my content don't qualify.
Anyone can link to general rules about Wikipedia, and don't get angry, I also hate my tone but the fact of the matter is the amount of research and time I put into redacting this information is massive and I deem it encyclopedic. Nicolas Couture (talk) 18:26, 3 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The three articles Polymer concrete, Draft:Polymer Modified Concrete and Draft:Polymer Cement Concrete are all so similar that having three separate makes little sense to me. I did not say that the content was wrong, I said "why have three". I suggest you add something to the oldest page, which is Polymer concrete. Do it slowly in stages so people do not get upset; a massive rewrite can raise red flags with Pending Change Reviewers (I am not one).
Note: you said that you were writing a proposal -- and that is not what Wikipedia is for, which is what I was trying to say in my response. Ldm1954 (talk) 18:38, 3 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Should they be one under Polymer Concrete?
Nicolas Couture (talk) 18:29, 3 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Yes Ldm1954 (talk) 18:38, 3 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
N.B., lower case (i.e. Polymer concrete) -- WP:MOS and some people get very picky about those details (not me). Ldm1954 (talk) 18:39, 3 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Are you on IRC?
