Welcome!

[edit]

Hi all I have created this profile to build biographies for notable musicians

Hello, Network118, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as Ak1MusicStudio, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines, and may not be retained.

There's a page about creating articles you may want to read called Your first article. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the Teahouse, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{help me}} on this page, followed by your question, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically produce your name and the date. If you have any questions, check out Wikipedia:Questions or ask me on my talk page. Again, welcome! Cordless Larry (talk) 12:09, 13 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Ak1MusicStudio, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Managing a conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, Network118. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, company, organization or competitors;
  • propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (see the {{request edit}} template);
  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see WP:DISCLOSE);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:SPAM);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

Also please note that editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you. Cordless Larry (talk) 12:13, 13 April 2019 (UTC) this was information about a workshop but i understand it can be considered as advertising & promotion[reply]

COI

[edit]

You have an obvious conflict of interest, please don't write about yourself or your business and read the guidance below

You have an obvious conflict of interest and you must declare it. If you work directly or indirectly for an organisation, or otherwise are acting on its behalf, you are very strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. If you are paid directly or indirectly by the organisation you are writing about, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Network118. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Network118|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If you are being compensated, please provide the required disclosure. Note that editing with a COI is discouraged, but permitted as long as it is declared. Concealing a COI can lead to a block. Please do not edit further until you respond to this message.

Also read the following regarding writing an article

  • you must provide independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts and show that it meets the notability guidelines. Sources that are not acceptable include those linked to the you or your organisation, press releases, YouTube, IMDB, social media and other sites that can be self-edited, blogs, websites of unknown or non-reliable provenance, and sites that are just reporting what the you claim or interviewing you. Note that references should be in-line so we can tell what fact each is supporting, and should not be bare urls
  • The notability guidelines for organisations and companies have been updated. The primary criteria has five components that must be evaluated separately and independently to determine if it is met:
  1. significant coverage in
  2. independent,
  3. multiple,
  4. reliable,
  5. secondary sources.
Note that an individual source must meet all four criteria to be counted towards notability.
  • you must write in a non-promotional tone. Articles must be neutral and encyclopaedic.
  • there shouldn't be any url links in the article, only in the "References" or "External links" sections.
  • you must not copy text from elsewhere. Copyrighted text is not allowed in Wikipedia, as outlined in this policy. That applies even to pages created by you or your organisation, unless they state clearly and explicitly that the text is public domain. We require that text posted here can be used, modified and distributed for any purpose, including commercial; text is considered to be copyright unless explicitly stated otherwise. There are ways to donate copyrighted text to Wikipedia, as described here; please note that simply asserting on the talk page that you are the owner of the copyright, or you have permission to use the text, isn't sufficient.

Before attempting to write an article again, please make sure that the topic meets the notability criteria linked above, and check that you can find independent third party sources. Also read Your first article. You must also reply to the COI request above Jimfbleak - talk to me? 12:21, 13 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to add promotional or advertising material to Wikipedia, as you did at Akik haroon, you may be blocked from editing. Cordless Larry (talk) 12:34, 13 April 2019 (UTC) this article has no notability & will update in due course[reply]

Blocked

[edit]
Stop icon
You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for advertising or promotion. From your contributions, this seems to be your only purpose.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.

Requesting unblock

[edit]

@Network118: Three times you have made requests to WP:UTRS, and three times now you have been told to request unblock here on this page - and the block message tells you how to do that. WP:UTRS is only for cases where you either do not have access to your talk page or there is private information in your request, and neither is the case here.

What you should do is copy the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} to the bottom of this talk page, and replace the words "Your reason here" with your full explantion of why you should be unblocked. That will add you to the list of editors awaiting an unblock review, and will attract the attention of admins who work on unblock requests. Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 10:28, 14 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

Beginners Mistake i understand what words not to use & Notability wasn't followed & creating workshop & business pages in such ways is promotion i hope to makes suitable articles in future sorry for the trouble people guess im learning as im going along & thank you admins for showing me about the Talk feature 331dot (talk) 11:24, 14 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

I'm having difficulty believing that you have no connection at all to the studio and individual you have written about- but even if you don't, you don't seem to yet understand the notability criteria written at WP:BAND and reliable sources. I am declining your request. 331dot (talk) 11:24, 14 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

No relation just some guy who is around in the music community helping people also i will be adding more artists that a notable who i dont know personally but hear their music on radio etc

  • Network118, in your last UTRS request you said "i wish to build biographies for musicians that are upcoming." The problem there is that upcoming musicians usually do not meet Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, as Wikipedia usually only covers musicians after they have upped and come and satisfy the notability requirements at WP:NMUSIC. Could you, perhaps, identify here one musician you intend to write about and provide the reliable sources (see WP:RS) that testify to their notability? Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 11:15, 14 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
please check for madison paris she isnt listed at all

http://conversationsabouther.net/madison-paris-excuse-new-music/ here another link https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m0002ylq

Which of the specific criteria at WP:NMUSIC does she satisfy? Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 11:25, 14 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

terrible lot of admins i have given proof yet you question me you lot seriously need help

Are you declining to answer the question? 331dot (talk) 11:28, 14 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

i haven't decilined to answer anything i wont be bother with this terrible Wikipedia bullying admins who have no good faith take care

No one is bullying you; we are asking legitimate questions that need to be answered if you want to participate here. We have good faith but we also read what you are writing and as such there are certain concerns. This is not a place where you can post anything you want to; there are certain policies that need to be followed. If you do not understand something, please ask. No one wants you to leave, but if you don't want to work with us, that's your choice. 331dot (talk) 11:44, 14 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

you making assumptions & accusations as you stated above i respect the guide lines given & seen i profiles that shouldn't even exist but its okay anyway keep the ban or not no issues

As this is a volunteer project, it is possible for inappropriate articles to exist, even for years- as they can only be removed if detected. Feel free to point out any improper articles you see. If you respect the guidelines as you claim, then you should demonstrate that you understand them by answering Boing!'s question and telling which of the notability criteria the musician you mention meets. 331dot (talk) 11:51, 14 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Also please note that Wikipedia does not have "profiles"; it has articles. This is not social media that has profiles. 331dot (talk) 11:53, 14 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
  • Network118, I'm sorry to see your response to my question. I get pleasure from helping newcomers with Wikipedia's rules (which are voluminous) and I was only trying to guide you on our notability requirements - it's surely better to do it that way than for you to write things and see them possibly deleted later, isn't it? Boing! said Zebedee (talk) 12:56, 14 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
