Hi Paige,

Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia. I appreciate your interest in updating the World Chess Hall of Fame article. However, I had to go and make some changes to your edits. It is very important that articles remain encyclopedic and do not veer into the realms of press releases and promotion. I took out some of the promotional language, put things into the past tense, and removed embedded external links because those are not allowed on Wikipedia in that manner. Please let me know if you have any questions about my edits.

Also, please review Wikipedia:Conflict of interest. COI editing is strongly discouraged. If, however, you decide to continue editing articles that also represent part of your workplace, please be sure to follow Wikipedia policies and best practices scrupulously, and be sure to disclose your association with the World Chess Hall of Fame on your user page and on the article's talk page.

Please let me know if you have comments, questions or concerns,

Sincerely,

Kingturtle = (talk) 17:11, 7 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Kingturtle,

Thank you for the comments on the WCHOF article. We're discussing internally how to best keep our page up-to-date, and understand that it is a delicate matter with regards to the COI policies. I'm reviewing those policies so we can best provide non-biased information for the WCHOF page.

I've also updated my user page based on your suggestions. Please let me know if there is additional action I should take.

Thanks again!
