Your recent edits

[edit]

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 00:41, 16 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Page move

[edit]

Hi! Thanks for contributing to Wikipedia. I'm sorry that Jonathan put a message re "test edits" on this talk page when apparently you were just trying to do a page move.

I believe the page move you were trying to accomplish was from Avatar: The Last Airbender - Book 1: Water to Avatar: The Last Airbender (Season 1) and that this move has been completed and fixed. However, please note that when moving pages, you're supposed to use the "move" button. If the "move" button doesn't work for a particular page, that means it's a more complicated situation and an administrator is needed to carry out the move correctly. When you did it by editing a page to make it a redirect, rather than using the "move" button, it was a cut-and-paste move, and an adminstrator (The Placebo Effect) had to fix it up afterwards. When this is done, the page history always still ends up a little more confused afterwards than if the correct procedure had been used at first. To move a page that you can't move with the "move" button, you can put in a request at Wikipedia:Requested page moves. That's better than doing a cut-and-paste move yourself.

I hope you enjoy editing Wikipedia. Feel free to ask me questions at my talk page at any time. --Coppertwig (talk) 02:41, 16 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
