A belated welcome!

[edit]
Sorry for the belated welcome, but the cookies are still warm!

Here's wishing you a belated welcome to Wikipedia, Passengerpigeon. I see that you've already been around a while and wanted to thank you for your contributions. Though you seem to have been successful in finding your way around, you may benefit from following some of the links below, which help editors get the most out of Wikipedia:

Also, when you post on talk pages you should sign your name using four tildes (~~~~); that should automatically produce your username and the date after your post.

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page, consult Wikipedia:Questions, or place {{helpme}} on your talk page and ask your question there.

Again, welcome! GotR Talk 21:56, 4 November 2012 (UTC) Thanks, GotR! Passengerpigeon (talk) 22:20, 4 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Talkback

[edit]
Hello, Passengerpigeon. You have new messages at Francophonie&Androphilie's talk page.
Message added 09:28, 10 November 2012 (UTC). You can remove this notice at any time by removing the {{Talkback}} or {{Tb}} template.[reply]

DFQ! This is a weird way to message eachother...

I'm not sure I got it, I'll test my signature. Answer me to tell if it worked.

Ferqwert (talk) 14:00, 27 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Yep. Signature works, as far as I can see. Passengerpigeon (talk) 14:08, 27 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Abondance Ski Valley, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Chatel (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 11:19, 5 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, I fixed it. Passengerpigeon (talk) 12:59, 5 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I am sorry

New Page Patrolling

[edit]

Hi. Thank you for patrolling new pages. rather than simply tag an article such as you did at Kanyabigega Silas S., please consider PROD or BLPPROD or at least leave a message on the creator's talk page using the message box in the curation tool, otherwise the article is unlikely to be improved. Please be sure to have read and fully understood the instructions for patrolling at WP:NPP and aour criteria for deletion at WP:Deletion, and if you need any help don't hesitate to ask me on my talk page. Happy editing! Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 01:04, 9 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Right, I'll keep that in mind. Thanks kudpung. Passengerpigeon (talk) 01:07, 9 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Your submission at Articles for creation

[edit]
Template:Welcome-delete, which you submitted to Articles for creation, has been created.
The article has been assessed as Template-Class, which is recorded on the article's talk page. You may like to take a look at the grading scheme to see how you can improve the article.

You are more than welcome to continue making quality contributions to Wikipedia. Note that because you are a logged-in user, you can create articles yourself, and don't have to post a request. However, you are more than welcome to continue submitting work to Articles for Creation.

Thank you for helping improve Wikipedia!

New Page Patrolling

[edit]

Hi. Thank you for patrolling new pages. I noticed that you sent several KidzBob articles to AfD. AfD is usually the last recourse when CSD and PROD have failed. Articles that do not fit squarely into a CSD criterion should preferably be PRODed with a rational that cites a notability guideline, such as in tbis case perhaps WP:CRYSTAL although others may also apply. For more information and help on patrolling pages, please see the tutorial at WP:NPP, and read up on WP:Deletion. If you need any assistance don't hesitate to ask me on my talk page. Happy holidays! Kudpung กุดผึ้ง (talk) 02:23, 22 December 2012 (UTC) Ok, happy holidays Kudpung! Passengerpigeon (talk) 02:26, 22 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Cerulean Echoes

[edit]

Dear Passengerpigeon,

Thank you for your entry on Cerulean Echoes. I am also a contributor to Wikipedia and am not surprised that your entry was deleted. They are very strict. I have had several of my own additions removed so do not let this put you off. I also manage the band and know all the members well. If you are interested in re-editing any parts of your article to make it more up to date, perhaps for another site, I can furnish you with accurate information. 84.51.145.179 (talk) 18:41, 8 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I did not create the article about cerulean echoes, I was the one who flagged the page for speedy deletion. Passengerpigeon (talk) 22:21, 8 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Gareth Roberts

[edit]

I created a page for Gareth Roberts (footballer born 1960) which you deleted because the page Gareth Roberts (footballer) already existed.

However (1): You will see that the second Gareth Roberts was born in 1978 and so is unlikely to also be the one born in 1960.

And

However (2): I created the page following a red link on the Hull City A.F.C. page which you may have noticed had you looked at the "What links here" link before deleting it - which surely must be best practice as all those links would need changing too (If it were actually a real duplication).

Keep up the (usual) good work! MikesPlant (talk) 14:35, 12 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry about that, you are free to recreate the page or request undeletion. Also, there is a wiki called the Speedy Deletion wiki, where wikipedia articles are archived by a bot when they are flagged for speedy deletion. If they have a backup copy of your article, you can simply copy-paste the article rather than having to go through all the undeletion "paperwork". Again, I apologize for this mistake- this surprised me a bit as pages tagged in error are usually unflagged before deletion. Passengerpigeon (talk) 22:23, 15 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Poland: The specific problem is: National anthem lyrics: Polish does not use the Arabic script.

[edit]

What is the problem?Xx236 (talk) 11:32, 25 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry for the lack of detail. I was referring to the .ogg file in the infobox that, when clicked, plays the Polish national anthem. The problem is that the lyrics of the anthem that appear when played are in the Arabic script. I was hoping someone could transliterate this as the Polish language uses the Latin script.
