If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Cookxp.com requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Speedy deletion nomination of Cookxp

[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Cookxp, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

August 2012

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, please do not add promotional material to articles or other Wikipedia pages. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. Both of the cookxp articles you made promote a non-notable online magazine. Please refrain from that. Thebestofall007 (talk) 00:17, 31 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Cook's Illustrated with this edit, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you'd like to experiment with test edits. Thank you. Porterjoh (talk) 00:20, 31 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop removing speedy deletion notices from pages that you have created yourself, as you did with this edit to Cookxp. If you continue to do so, you will be blocked from editing. Noom talk stalk 00:48, 31 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

some help with notability critera.

[edit]

One place to start is wikipedia's guide here: Wikipedia:Notability. Basically put, if the subject has received lots of coverage in notable news outlets, press coverage, or have done something that has done/achieved something that has had a lasting importance and effect in the past, right now, or will do so, like something that will have or has had a historical significance for example, it can be included; you usually can look up the article's subject in a search engine and find it all over the place if it is notable. If it is something made up some day or is only known to a few or within non notable outlets, than it probably would not make it here.

Another good place to look is wp:not and other links it has that might help.

I also noticed you deleted the speedy templates on the pages you made. Users can get blocked if they do that repeatedly, especially if done in bad faith or vandalism (although it's not always vandalism/bad faith). Wikipedia depends a lot on on consensus and removing speedy templates and other templates makes that more difficult.

Don't be afraid to ask for help if needed :). You can do that by typing a help me template followed by the question, and an administrator will be with you shortly. Thebestofall007 (talk) 03:41, 31 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
