Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, Pikapenn, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Shalor and I work with the Wiki Education Foundation; I help support students who are editing as part of a class assignment.

I hope you enjoy editing here. If you haven't already done so, please check out the student training library, which introduces you to editing and Wikipedia's core principles. You may also want to check out the Teahouse, a community of Wikipedia editors dedicated to helping new users. Below are some resources to help you get started editing.

Checking in

[edit]

Pikapenn This is good progress. I want to clarify a couple of things for you: you should be working on your own sandbox page, not the talk page of the article.

You should move your work there ASAP. Also, you need to use wiki formating to format your text. Right now it is all one biiiiiiiiig paragraph, which is hard to read. You are proabably using the "edit source" editor, and not actually adding in the wiki formatting. I recommend you use the "Visual editor" which isn't available on talk pages, but will be on your sandbox page (all the more reason to move your edits over there ASAP.

Next step is to peer review one of your classmate’s articles. Like your own, these will be on their sandbox pages. You should be able to see who is assigned each article on the Assigned Articles tab, so click on their username to find their sandbox. Remember, you had a training on this, which you can rely on. Feel free to email me if you have questions. --Theredproject (talk) 23:52, 1 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Pikapenn As I noted before, you need to use the wikiformatting, or it will continue to all run together into one giant paragraph; I also moved your content from the talk page to your sandbox. I have also observed Plagiarism (AKA Wikipedia:Copyright violations) in your work. See these links [1], [2], [3]. You will need to address this before you can complete the assignment and move your work over to the article. --Theredproject (talk) 16:08, 15 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
