There have been some updates done to the "Methodological error" section appended to my user page.
I have added some points which would help to know if the iteration would converge or diverge.
When we calculate the exact root of a given function we could plug in the root value into g'(r). After plugging in the value we run a check if the calculated value '<1 ' or '>1'.
If |g'(r)| < 1 then the scheme converges else it is diverging and we should stop.
But I think the last proposal, when | a3 − a2 | > | a2 − a1 | should abort the iteration can be used as a candidate for wild check. But the best way would be to plugging the root value into the function and checking whether it is diverging or converging and then aborting the iteration.

The method to check value on each iteration is surely inconsistent. It would abort the iteration very quickly and is not a good idea. The "Fixed Point Iteration page" was modified with "Methodological Error" section. There has been some discrepancy and issues with the notation flow. Will have to edit the page once again abiding to the WP tone and then check if the section gets accepted with more time dedicated to the validity of the topic.
