Autoblock

[edit]

{{unblock-auto|1=194.176.201.10|2=Autoblocked because your IP address was recently used by "HexTokis". The reason given for HexTokis's block is: "abusive and extremely disruptive sockpuppetry, impersonation, and harassment, confirmed by checkuser"|3=Newyorkbrad}}

Please stand by as I contact a competent user. Thank you for your patience. Sandstein 20:44, 24 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for letting me know. I'm reviewing now, and will try to get you an answer within the hour. --Elonka 20:52, 24 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I would say go ahead and unblock. 194.176.201.10 (talk · contribs) appears to be a dynamic IP shared by many users, most of which have had no involvement with the HexTokis/Lordknowle problem. I also checked Pstansbu's contribs, which appear to have little overlap in areas of interest with the other accounts. There is a small linkage (maybe 10%), but I'd prefer to err on the side of assuming good faith and say that they're coincidental, perhaps from living in the same general geographical area. Pstansbu, please accept our apologies for any inconvenience. If you have any other questions about the matter, please don't hesitate to ask, and I'll do my best to fill you in. The best "real world" analogy that I could come up for this, is that you rented a car which turns out to have been used previously by others for a crime. So when our system saw that car being used again, they automatically pulled it over. But it looks like you're a good driver, so carry on! :) Elonka 21:14, 24 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Very well, the autoblock has been lifted. Thanks for the investigative work, Elonka. Sandstein 21:48, 24 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

File:Kevin Healey (autism activist).jpg

[edit]

Is there / where is there any evidence that File:Kevin Healey (autism activist).jpg is cc-by-sa-4.0? thanks --Tagishsimon (talk) 13:23, 4 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

There is written confirmation from the photographer granting this licence, is there a way to show this? Pstansbu (talk) 16:25, 4 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

On wikipedia, the Wikipedia:Volunteer Response Team (aka OTRS, the online ticket response service) and on commons, commons OTRS. I think the gist is you provide proof by email, they mark the image page with an OTRS ticket specifying their satisfaction with the licence. thanks --Tagishsimon (talk) 17:24, 4 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Great thanks, I see I can also get the owner to post and mark up photos on something like Flickr - a good learning experience Pstansbu (talk) 15:09, 12 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]
Hello! Voting in the 2019 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 on Monday, 2 December 2019. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited List of masters world records in road running, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Sarah Roberts. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
