Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference

[edit]

Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have (or very recently had) enabled.

On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being 'minor'. The only thing that's changed is that you will no longer have them marked as minor by default.

For established users such as yourself there is a workaround available involving custom JavaScript. If you are familiar with the contents of WP:MINOR, and believe that it is still beneficial to the encyclopedia to have all your edits marked as such by default, then this discussion will give you the details you need to continue with this functionality indefinitely. If you have any problems, feel free to drop me a note.

Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 20:35, 14 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Translation of 95 year old philosophy.

[edit]

Greetings,

I am trying to get a team together who would finally translate "Sistema di logica come teoria del conoscere" into English. I thought Wikipedia's list of Italian-to-English translators might be a good group to 'hit up' on this subject. If personal assistance cannot be provided, perhaps suggestions or helping point me in the right direction of who might be willing to help? Best regards & thank you. July 2013

[edit]

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Venetian language may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s. If you have, don't worry, just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:
  • for example {{IPA|[maˈniŋ]}} to {{IPA|[maˈninː]}} and {{IPA|[maˈɾiŋ]}} to {{IPA|[maˈɾinː]}}).

Thanks, BracketBot (talk) 19:34, 5 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Your edit on Free Your Mind (Funky Divas song)

[edit]

Hello, I just wanted to thank you for clearing up that vandalism on the Free Your Mind (song) article. I had seen that there some months ago and it struck me as so bizarre, but I hadn't placed it as vandalism. That had been in my mind every time I heard the song for a while there. According to the edit history, that vandalism was made in September 2012 - can't believe it took nearly 3 years for someone to catch it. Thank you, though. :) Temeku (talk) 22:00, 17 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Can you help us translating some articles from it.wiki?

[edit]

Hi Rilkas, I found you on Wikipedia:Translators_available page and I was wondering if you can help us translating some articles into English. I am a librarian who works in Brugherio, a town near Monza in Italy. At our library we contribute to the GLAM project WiBrugherio, whose first step is to create a multilingual tourist guide of the city using QR codes generated by QRpedia. FrOsmetti, who is a student of English and is doing his civil service in our library, is translating the Italian articles that you can see here, but someone in the en.wiki community says our English is not good enough. It would be very helpful if you could revise our drafts! At the time, we translated these three articles Saint_Lucius,_Brugherio, Villa_Brivio,_Brugherio, Villa_Fiorita,_Brugherio, and here you can see the next one, which is still in draft: Draft:Girlanda_Silva_Palace. Thank you very much for your help! --Labaici (talk) 13:02, 6 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Europe 10,000 Challenge invite

[edit]

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Europe/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like Germany, Italy, the Benelux countries, Iberian Peninsula, Romania, Slovenia etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. If you would like to see masses of articles being improved for Europe and your specialist country like Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon, sign up today and once the challenge starts a contest can be organized. This is a way we can target every country of Europe, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant and also sign under any country sub challenge on the page that you might contribute to! Thank you. --MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 21:09, 7 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Would you be willing to answer a short 5 minute survey? If so, please email me at leung085@umn.edu. It would be helpful if you could include your Wikipedia username when emailing.

Translation of Villa Annoni

[edit]

Could you please translate https://it.wikipedia.org/wiki/Villa_Annoni ? I would like to have it in English because there are a lot of American tourists coming here to see the Villa and there is no material. Something in their mother tongue would be helpful. --DelicateAloe (talk) 17:00, 20 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Request for a quick translation check

[edit]

Hi Rilkas, I ask you a favor. I wrote the voice of an Italian artist "Andrea Benetti" and DGG, a Wikipedian expert, helped me create and improve the voice. Now he suggested that I contact an experienced Wikipedian (Italian-English) to help in checking the translation from Italian to English. If you can take a look to see if everything is fine, the link of the voice is https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Andrea_Benetti_(artist). Hoping you can help me, thank you for what you will do, --BarbaraLuciano13 (talk) 10:05, 19 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
