Valuable advice

[edit]

Thanks for your valuable advice Simon04. Since this is my first edit on Wikipedia, I am learning new stuff everyday and trying to grab as much as possible. Also thanks for those links they were helpful. I am still working on it to get more information and increase the length of the article. Thanks again --Sanchitw (talk) 20:50, 23 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Map for the High Line (New York City) article

[edit]

Hello. Three years ago, you edited a map for the article High Line (New York City). Would you be able to update it? The High Line's third phase is opening this weekend, so if you are able to edit the map, please do it soon. Thank you

Hi! Thanks for the message. In the meanwhile two other users updated the map … Simon04 (talk) 18:53, 22 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Wikidata module in French wiki

[edit]

Hey Simon, I was trying to do build the header and row as you did in English. I, however, got stuck with the row and can't seem to get it work. Here is the link to the row and my test page, thanks in advance :) -- Abdeaitali (talk) 11:27, 18 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

@Abdeaitali: Hey, it was so great to meet you in Stockholm! Working out the correct template/module on the French Wikipedia was more challenging than expected. In the end, fr:Module:Interface Wikidata turned out to be working nicely. Since all other lists of monuments seem to consistently use the fr:Module:Tableau MH, I've rewritten fr:Modèle:Ligne de tableau monument Maroc to make use of that as well (to get quick results, I reused the ligneTunisie format). I hope you like the results at fr:Utilisateur:Abdeaitali/Brouillon/WLM2019. Cheers from Austria –Simon04 (talk) 21:10, 23 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks @Simon04:, it was also a pleasure to meet u! I was back from Iceland yesterday and just looked at the results, really nice! Thanks a lot! -- Abdeaitali (talk) 14:19, 26 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Google Code-In 2019 is coming - please mentor some documentation tasks!

[edit]

Hello,

Google Code-In, Google-organized contest in which the Wikimedia Foundation participates, starts in a few weeks. This contest is about taking high school students into the world of opensource. I'm sending you this message because you recently edited a documentation page at the English Wikipedia.

I would like to ask you to take part in Google Code-In as a mentor. That would mean to prepare at least one task (it can be documentation related, or something else - the other categories are Code, Design, Quality Assurance and Outreach) for the participants, and help the student to complete it. Please sign up at the contest page and send us your Google account address to google-code-in-admins@lists.wikimedia.org, so we can invite you in!

From my own experience, Google Code-In can be fun, you can make several new friends, attract new people to your wiki and make them part of your community.

If you have any questions, please let us know at google-code-in-admins@lists.wikimedia.org.

Thank you!

Serial Interval

[edit]

Hallo Simon, as far as I can see you cited the wrong article on the Wikipage for the value of the serial interval of COVID-19. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Serial_interval The article you cite has a higher serial interval. The number you wrote I have heard in the Corona Update Podcast by Christian Drosten as the value given by a pre-print. Do you happen to have a reference to that preprint?

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited FTPS, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page TLS. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
