World Maps with Colored Countries

[edit]

Sorry to bother you, but I was interested in learning how to create the kinds of maps that you have, such as the one on the Freedom in the World article. I don't know how to use the empty map template and add in different colors to each country, so where should I learn and with what program should I do it? Also, I wanted to let you know that the 2021 Freedom in the World rankings listed Jordan and Thailand as "Not Free," but your map shows them as "Partly Free." Bill Williams (talk) 01:13, 15 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
It's very easy to create a map like mine. I use paint.net to create the map, and you can use paint too if you want. There are tons of tutorials on youtube on creating maps like mine. I made my map based on the previously existing map from 2017, so it was simply a matter of using the fill bucket in my case. If you are planning to map out an uncommon region, you will need to create your own template, which you can easily learn from youtube.
I'm updating the map now by the way.
Okay thanks, I'll make sure to check that out. I appreciate the advice. Bill Williams (talk) 05:00, 16 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2023 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 11 December 2023. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2023 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:59, 28 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
