Speedy deletion declined: Kate Allen (Amnesty International)

[edit]

Hello Steal the Kosher Bacon, and thanks for patrolling new pages! I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Kate Allen (Amnesty International), a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: The article makes a credible assertion of importance or significance, sufficient to pass A7. You may wish to review the Criteria for Speedy Deletion before tagging further pages. Thank you. Shirt58 (talk) 09:19, 18 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Shirt58, thanks for your prompt attention to the deletion request. It seems to me that the article completely lacks reliable sources and references (except for her breakup with the mayor of London). While her position as head of Amnesty International UK section may be notable, she is not. Would it make sense to try a regular AfD procedure, with discussions and all? Steal the Kosher Bacon (talk) 09:27, 18 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
"Would it make sense to try a regular AfD procedure, with discussions and all?" Yes, you could do that. Do you have Twinkle installed? As a non-technical type of person I use it a lot. It automates things like AfD nominations. I suggest it may be better to tidy up the article first. Pete AU aka --Shirt58 (talk) 09:55, 18 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there, I'm HasteurBot. I just wanted to let you know that Draft:Rod Womack, a page you created, has not been edited in 6 months. The Articles for Creation space is not an indefinite storage location for content that is not appropriate for articlespace.

If your submission is not edited soon, it could be nominated for deletion. If you would like to attempt to save it, you will need to improve it.

You may request Userfication of the content if it meets requirements.

If the deletion has already occured, instructions on how you may be able to retrieve it are available at WP:REFUND/G13.

Thank you for your attention. HasteurBot (talk) 01:33, 20 June 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Your draft article, Draft:Rod Womack

[edit]

Hello, Steal the Kosher Bacon. It has been over six months since you last edited your WP:AFC draft article submission, entitled "Rod Womack".

The page will shortly be deleted. If you plan on editing the page to address the issues raised when it was declined and resubmit it, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}} or {{db-g13}} code. Please note that Articles for Creation is not for indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you want to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by one of two methods (don't do both): 1) follow the instructions at WP:REFUND/G13, or 2) copy this code: {{subst:Refund/G13|Draft:Rod Womack}}, paste it in the edit box at this link, and click "Save page". An administrator will in most cases undelete the submission.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. HasteurBot (talk) 16:00, 20 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

WP:ARBPIA3

[edit]

See WP:ARBPIA3#500/30 which applies to your account. Gerald M. Steinberg is a page that can be "reasonably construed as being related to the Arab-Israeli conflict". Sean.hoyland - talk 16:40, 9 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Sean.hoyland Thanks. Was not aware of that rule. In terms of the edit itself, I think it was good, so perhaps you can do it.Steal the Kosher Bacon (talk) 16:44, 9 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Julian (emperor), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page British Mandate. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 06:26, 20 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Steal the Kosher Bacon. The nature of your edits, such as the one you made to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Raviv Zoller, gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Steal the Kosher Bacon. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Steal the Kosher Bacon|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. scope_creepTalk 03:31, 4 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I do not know why you think that? I am very surprised and seriously do not understand. Did you review all of my edits? Even take a few at random. Your comments are very very strange, and very off base. Steal the Kosher Bacon (talk) 14:23, 6 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Steal the Kosher Bacon, your not being paid then? I haven't reviewed your edits. The reason I made this declaration is due to the comments you made at the Afd. You stated that This person has done more notable things in his life than most people: Founder of Ness Technologies Inc., chair of Clal Underwriting, CEO of IDI Insurance, and President/CEO of Israel Chemicals. And all of this is sourced!. None of that makes him automatically notable. This wouldn't be the first time that a editor either paid or with a coi, who has come into try and subvert the Afd. They're is already another editor came to try and do just that. All of seem's strange, particularly when the article is so badly sourced. scope_creepTalk 15:09, 6 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]
No, I just think it is true. He is very well known, quoted regularly throughout the press in English and in Hebrew. His accomplishments are very notable. I am still surprised by your remarks and comments. I really don't understand. I read carefully all of what you wrote on his page, and still am at a loss. That's all. Apparently we disagree, and that's ok. Steal the Kosher Bacon (talk) 05:15, 9 January 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you - I thought i changed it to my own words sufficiently so it would be accepted. May I add the names of the four feminists back in - just the names? Steal the Kosher Bacon (talk) 12:51, 2 May 2022 (UTC)[reply]
