Whatcom County 1948

[edit]

Hello, there. I was wondering if you are sure that the Democratic vote total of 12,736 (instead of 13,736) for Whatcom County in 1948 is correct? If so, then the 1948 Washington state Democratic vote total is wrong on both the 1948 United States presidential election in Washington (state) page and the 1948 United States presidential election page, which in turn makes the overall vote total for Truman in the 1948 election wrong.

I personally can't find any source either way, but the Democratic vote total both overall and for Washington state in 1948 that is listed on the two pages mentioned is only correct if Truman won Whatcom County against Dewey, and that Truman had 13,736 votes in the county. If Dewey won the county and Truman only had 12,736 votes in the county, then 1,000 votes needs to be knocked off Truman's vote total for both the Washington state vote total listed and the overall national vote total listed. Complicating matters even further is that the electoral map on one page has Whatcom County shaded blue (as if Truman won) while the other page has Whatcom County shaded red (as if Dewey won). Which one is right and which one is wrong? 79.66.96.149 (talk) 19:11, 23 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The Dewey win in the county is correct and the Truman showing is wrong SteveTheElectionGuy2001 (talk) 23:31, 23 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Templatized election tables

[edit]

Hello,

I hope all is well. Thank you for fixing the election template on the page South Carolina. If you had some time free, could you templatize 6 NC/SC county pages (Cherokee County, Wilkes County, Randolph County, Moore County, Dare County, and Spartanburg County) that use the old template? Thank you for your time and have a good day! DiscoA340 (talk) 21:01, 28 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I’ll templatize them ASAP SteveTheElectionGuy2001 (talk) 21:18, 28 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
