Wikipedia accepts content that has been previously published by reliable, third-party sources, written in your own words from a neutral point of view, and not outside Wikipedia's scope.
Your edit was reverted by an automated script, or bot, that is programmed to look for certain patterns of writing that have been deemed as typical of vandalism. Though your edit might have been well-intentioned, it was not acceptable for these reasons:
  • Your source was Facebook. Social media sites are self-published; that is, the person who writes the content can also publish it. This disqualifies almost all social media sources, because Wikipedia defines a reliable source as a source that has an established reputation for fact-checking and editorial oversight.
  • Sources must also be independent of the subject under discussion. This means that the source has no vested interest in the subject and is therefore trusted to have a truly objective point of view.
  • Statements like "Surat is a city who learns from others experiences quickly" and "Citizens and GOVT bodies are very responsive to problems", and phrases like "internationally renowned" are subjective in nature. They do not conform to a neutral point of view, which requires that statements are expressed in an unemotional, dispassionate tone. Avoiding "peacock" expressions that may introduce bias or precision, is crucial.
I'm sorry this message could not be more favourable. Please check the links in the welcome message at the top of this page to learn more about Wikipedia's policies, editing culture, and ways to learn how to edit constructively. Thank you. --Drm310 🍁 (talk) 16:10, 31 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

In response to both editors above:
  1. A userpage is not an article. It is a page intended for you - the individual who operates this account - to write a small amount of biographical information about yourself, and talk about your interests and goals as a Wikipedia editor.
  2. Wikipedia articles must be about notable topics. These are subjects that are of interest to the world at large and over a period of time. We consider evidence published by reliable and independent sources to judge this interest.
  3. Reliable sources are sources with an established reputation for fact-checking and editorial oversight. This generally means mainstream news organizations (TV, newspapers), and magazines and books from reputable publishers. Self-published sources such as social media are not reliable; content on social media is published by the person who writes it, and therefore lacks editorial oversight.
  4. Wikipedia does not publish articles about worthy causes, no matter how good or important their work is, or is claimed to be. Only if they meet the aforementioned notability criteria will they be considered worthy of inclusion.
  5. Writing to "create awareness" or "give vital information" to the world is still promotion and advocacy if the topic isn't notable. You must prove that this topic is worthy of inclusion by showing evidence of significant coverage in multiple reliable sources.
  6. Wikipedia discourages editors that have a close personal or professional connection to a subject from writing about it. Doing so is a conflict of interest; while not prohibited, it is highly discouraged due to the inherent difficulty writing from the required neutral point of view without the intent to promote or advocate.
